There is nothing you have to do at GD theme compatibility except select your theme, and save. You will find that in most cases the theme is already pre-selected, so absolutely nothing is required.
GDF and Supreme are built for GD, so they are indeed faster.
You can only use one theme on your site. If you use Avada, you do not need GDF.
Just go to GD > Theme compatibility and select Avada, that is all that is required unless you want to customize any further.
See also https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-theme/CPTs have their own custom fields, categories etc, so I am not sure what Toolset Types can offer extra.
Please see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#customAlso, GeoDirectory is not compatible with ACF. We use custom database tables and that plugin is unaware of it.
That is not possible for the moment, but add it as feature request if you like at https://wpgeodirectory.com/requests/
Thanks.
Sorry, but you can only have one events CPT and one calendar.

To add the drop down of cities, go to GD > Multilocations > Show location switcher in menu > Yes.
The “near” field searches “near” the center of whatever location you put in, if you want to search “in” you need to use the switcher or select one of the suggested cities.
See also https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#howBut the homepage is not set to a particular location, so the page is not remembering anything, going to the homepage is what resets the system’s location.
If you use a different location after you search near you, it will also resets because you go to a new search page. Clearing the field does not reset the location, it just clears the field.
To change “Discover the best places to stay, eat, shop and events near you.” on the homepage of a Supreme site, you need to tick “custom fields” in the screen options up the top when editing the page. Then you will see the custom field further down the page.
This reply has been marked as private. That seems to be a bug in Whoop, I can replicate that on my test site. I will alert the developers.
You need to clear the “near” field by going to another page or reloading the page.
The page has been told to be “near you” and just clearing the field cannot reset that session.Your setup is asking visitors if they want to be geo-located, so the page will take you to the nearest location, those are the settings you chose at GD >Advanced Search > Redirect
It says “Near: User defined” because it is the visitor that has chosen to be located.
That is hardcoded somewhere, I’ll ask the developers where, I cannot directly find it.
That link “Edit This Post” should only show to admins for unclaimed listings and to any users who have claimed a listing.
I can only assume you have some incompatible caching going on.
Please post your admin details in a private reply if we need to have a look at your settings. -
