Try changing WP permalinks to “plain”, like /?p=123
Then change back to “Post name”, like https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#postnames

1. Just add the location switcher to your menu or as a shortcode in a widget.

6. The location switcher never asks for geolocation. What is asking for the geolocation is if you use the NEAR compass.

8. I suggest you use the location switcher and add the popular categories widget above the map on that page. Then visitors can navigate to their city, and select the type of doctors, and featured will be listed first.

9. If you use the suggested locations in the NEAR field, all listings in that city or state will be returned, ie within the boundaries of the city or state, not within the radius around the center of the location.

Because the link is to add-listing and pet shops is the first in the order.
If you want the add-listing link to go to a different form, you need to give the full link like http://petadvisor.co.uk/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_pet_grooming or http://petadvisor.co.uk/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_vet

Title fields do not need to be unique. But the slug will be created with a -1 at the end of one of the listings I suspect.
They can even be in the same location, that is not relevant.

Changing titles after import or creation does not change the slugs, so no problem there.

I’ll pass your ticket on to the developers, but here are some comments.

1. If visitors want to search what is in a location, then they are better off with using the location switcher, or the suggested locations. See images.
2. If they are searching for a particular term, let’s say “football” then they expect listings with football in the title to be before listings that have only that term as a tag, but nowhere in the title or description of the listing.
3. All pages other than the search pages can be adjusted for featured only.
4. You can add a Popular Post widget above your search results and filter it by featured only, and by location and search CPT, essentially creating a “sponsored” listings widget.
