A CPT is another custom post type than Places, for example Online Businesses. You will need to activate the CPT addon, see
Have a look at http://wpgeo.directory/ in the main menu: Under “Listing” you will see 4 CPTs listed, one of them is online businesses. You can use a generic street address but the marker has to be at one particular spot on the map.

If you post your admin details we can check the CSS.You can create a new CPT and then go to GD > general > general tab > Select CPT to disable physical location
All listings in a CPT need addresses, or none. You cannot mix listings with and without addresses in the same CPT.
Let us know how you went. You should only create your file with OpenOffice. Even converting from Excel will leave all the nasties in the file.
You should open the downloaded file only with OpenOffice. It should not be opened in Excel at all. Please post admin details in a private reply. Only staff can read that.
Normally there is no need to use the GD Tools unless you have some problem.
Can you describe that problem? I cannot see anything immediately wrong on your site. Thanks.May 4, 2016 at 9:40 pm in reply to: Location Switcher jumps left & right when short word is selected #184922Try adding this to your CSS:
.gd-location-switcher-menu-item {margin-top: -5px}It’s happening because there is a gap between the menu item and the submenu item.
/gd-login will take you to the homepage if you are already logged in, but is the correct link for the login page.
This social login plugin works perfectly with GD: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-social-login/
The “edit” and “upgrade” links are only on the detail page if the user is logged in, and is on his own listing.
At http://wordpressmu-3822-8567-17899.cloudwaysapps.com/try-geodirectory click on “launch demo” to launch your own test site.
On http://wpgeo.directory/ you can see in the menu how to add any type of CPT.
You can customize the layout of the detail page if you like: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-geodirectory-templates/
Let me know if I missed on of your questions.
Make sure they can add any CPT:
GD > design > navigation
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#navigationAlso add the GD Login widget to your pages.
Have a look here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/
That article explains how to create extra tabs and custom fields, which you then can restrict to paying users only. Here is a link to some draft documentation: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/prices-and-payments-add-on-overview/
Just shoot any questions when you get stuck.
You’re welcome 🙂
