December 20, 2015 at 10:40 pm in reply to: Schema Type for Custom Post Type – what is schema type ? #64625Schema types create rich snippets which basically tells the search engine crawling it what to expect, you can read a bit more about it here: http://www.vervesearch.com/blog/a-guide-to-rich-snippets-schema-and-microdata/
You cannot create your own schema type, they are pre-determined. Also you can change the type after you created the category.
Hi Jeremy, you are kind of correct, you cannot have it both ways, but there is indeed a workaround.
Imagine you have a custom field called “denomination” that should only be available for the category “churches”.
Create a price package that is only available to add a church listing.
Then allow the “denomination” field only for that price package.December 20, 2015 at 10:28 pm in reply to: Custom Add Listing Form for Custom Post Type – possible ? #64622I think you might just have called a CPT “Product”.

https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/how-do-i-change-the-number-of-listings-per-page/All plugins have different functionalities, and you might not need all of them.
You should only use those you need.
If they all would be in the same plugin, you can not de-activate the things you don’t need, and that would make your site just that bit slower. You need to “Show link to author page on listings” and then the author will show, but only if the user has stated they are the “owner” when submitting the listing.
You can also change the ownership in the backend, see image. If you use the GD login widget to login, the user will be redirected to the page where he/she logged in. Just add the GD login widget to any page and it should work as you want.
December 20, 2015 at 10:11 pm in reply to: GD Jobs Plugin – allow listings to post employment classifieds #646141. If added as events, yes:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/events-addon-widgets/#eventOr if added as “franchises”, yes:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/franchise-manager-add-on/If added as a separate CPT, no.
2. Yes, it would be just like any other category page.
3. Yes, it would be just like any other CPT, so you can use categories and subcategories.
4. Yes, because it is just like any other GD listing type, it is just that you call it “Jobs”.
See an example here: http://openmindtrips.com/exchange/
