That widget is not built to have clickable images, only the titles are linked.
Favorite 10 listings and link to your favorites?
Use “special offers” to add some data to 10 listings only, for example “featured this week”.
Then add a popular post widget filtered by “special offers only”?
So when removing data from special offer, the listing will disappear from the widget, and you can replace with another one …August 4, 2015 at 9:40 am in reply to: ReferenceError: geodir_advanced_search_js_msg is not defined #48044We’d need URL and WP admin details and URLs of the pages where you get the error.
GD > Place settings > custom fields > category field > show on listing page > YES.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#commonWhere are you expecting a lists page?
It should be available on the frontend to logged in users, from their BP profile.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/geodirectory-lists-overview/If still stuck, we’d need your URL and admin details for that. You can supply them in private reply.
Can you be more specific as to what trouble you have?
All I can see is some CSS that needs fixing:
.geodir-cat-list ul {list-style: none;}GD > design > listings tab > LISTING GENERAL SETTINGS > set to DRAFT
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#listingsAdd the ‘GD > Popular categories’ widget to the section of your choice.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#typicalYou do not have to ignore Google suggestions, but you can change the address field after setting the marker on the map.
You can set marker locations a number of ways:
1. drag the marker
2. enter lat and lng
3. use google suggestion
4. enter data yourself
You can change the street address field after that to anything (but not the other address fields) , as long you do not reset the map.
I checked that address and that is just some Google quirk I think. Look at the map and you will see that the street is called Carrer Pere III, according to Google.1. Custom fields belong to a custom post type so they are normally available for all categories in that CPT. But you can restrict custom fields to certain price packages. The solution therefore is to create a price package that allows adding a listing to your category of choice, and disallowing submissions to that category in your other price packages. Then make sure that the custom field can only be used by that price package that does allow submissions to that category.
2. You can enable the WYSIWYG editor for the description submissions at
GD > design > listings > Show description field as editor
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#listings3. You can allow users to upload files to their listing
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#file
or you can create a new HTML custom field that creates a new tab where they can add their menu:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#htmlYou did set the location pages to only show the main section and not the sidebar, I fixed it for you at GD > design > home > Show the right section of home page > YES.
See also https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#typicalThe location switcher is to switch locations, ie from city to region or city etc, so you can see all listings in a city or region.
The search is to search for listings near a particular spot.
See also https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#searchOnce a visitor chooses to navigate to a particular city, the search will be in that city.
If the visitor does want to search in a different area, they should go back to that different area. That’s how it usually works.
I changed your settings at
GD > advanced search > Enable Near autocompleter: YES
so you can now type in a different city in the NEAR field and the page will change location.A radius of 50 km equates to an area of 7850 sq km or 3000 sq miles. Your settings are set at 40 square miles.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-general/#searchI realise that GD is not your ordinary plugin and that there are heaps of settings, so feel free to ask if you cannot find the answer at https://docs.wpgeodirectory.com
Your fellow Queenslander 🙂
Forget what? What are you talking about? 🙂
Cheers. If you use a multiselect field, you can add that to the advanced search, and then set as a CHECK filter.
August 3, 2015 at 10:22 am in reply to: Why Multilocation Selector Shows arrow on Last Level(City) ? #47898By clicking on “country” or “region”, you will move the pointer.
Yes, that is possible.
Add the custom fields and add them to the Advanced Search, then they will be shown when a visitor chooses “Customize search”.Let us know if you need more clarification.
