As soon you have set the marker on the correct spot on the map, you can change the address field to anything you like. Just do not click “Set on map” again.
Can you post your URL and admin details (in a private reply), then we can have a look for you.
I think you are confusing location and category pages.
Location [GD home] pages:
http://www.popupshops.com.au/location/australia/queensland/gold-coast/
http://www.popupshops.com.au/location/Category [GD Listings pages:
http://www.popupshops.com.au/pop-up-shops/
http://www.popupshops.com.au/pop-up-shops/variety-markets-1/Your widget at GD Home for the events was only set to display 2 listings; I changed it to 50 so now you have 50 of them listed on the everywhere location page.
I guess they are the default package for a CPT. Every CPT will have an original default package you cannot delete.
Have you set the “Apply character limit” for tags and description to NO?
Have you selected the correct package?New custom fields have to be set to active and not for admin only.
You also need to select which package is allowed to add the custom fields.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#customIt could also be that you are using some caching and therefore your changes do not show as expected.
Please provide more detail and URL and admin details if you need us to have a closer look. You have customised or deleted your location page somehow.
I restored it for you (first deleted the page, then went to GD tools to resurrect it).
Please check. In your WP admin, you will find a menu item Places (unless you changed the name of the Custom Post Type). Hover over that and you will see a link to Place Categories.
Cheers 🙂 and thanks for letting us know.
Have you set to allow registration?
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#anyoneGD List Manager only works with the Whoop theme at this time, and indeed needs the “Posts 2 Posts” plugin.
See https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/geodirectory-lists-overview/Your link to the Add event listing will be
http://www.welltodolondon.com/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_event
And you need to make sure your users are allowed to add an event at
GD > design > navigation
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#navigationLet us know if that solved your issue.
If you want to use some listings without a physical address, you need to create a separate custom post type, and then remove the requirement for addresses at
GD > General > General tab > Select CPT to disable physical locationA visitor will have to make a choice whether they want to search “online” or “bricks and mortar” listings by selecting from the first field in the GD search.
Example: drop down for “places”, “people” and “events” at http://wptry.it/try-geodirectory.I guess you will be using custom fields so users can add “brands” etc.
You can then add these custom fields to an advanced search.
Example: Look for “customize my search” at http://wptry.it/try-geodirectory/events

Tags will be searched in any GD search, so if you want to use tags, that is possible too. It just does not allow the visitors to filter down as much, and then you need to find a way of ensuring correct tags are used by users or yourself.Enjoy loving our plugin 🙂
August 2, 2015 at 12:09 pm in reply to: Sorry, no record were found. Please adjust your search criteria and try again. #47841You can NOT use the same slug for your location pages and the category pages.
I have changed your location pages back to place.
Example of LOCATION page:
http://worldbeenet.com/place/malaysia/johor/
Example of LISTINGS (category) page:
http://worldbeenet.com/places/
http://worldbeenet.com/events/If you choose a different location from the switcher, you go to the LOCATION page of that location, not to the LISTINGS page.
So if you are at
http://worldbeenet.com/events/ (a LISTINGS page)
and you choose Johor from the switcher, you go to
http://worldbeenet.com/place/malaysia/johor/ (a LOCATION page). You do not ask the user to be Geolocated.
If you untick “Ask user if they wish to be geolocated” at
GD > Advanced Search > Geolocation settings,
the popup will not appear. You only have a map on your homepage, which is not a GD page.
So if a user is on your homepage (with the map) and they choose a different location from the switcher or by saying yes to the popup, then they will be taken to a LOCATION page.
You have not added any maps to the LOCATION page.Ok to keep using this topic until you find your feet, it can be a bit of a learning curve 🙂
“Talks” is Whoop speak for “forums”, so you would need bbpress.
http://wptry.it/wordpress-directory-theme-whoop/forums/“Lists” are possible with the GD Listings addon
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/geodirectory-lists-overview/The location switcher is added like this:
GD > multilocations > Show location switcher in menu > YES
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/multilocations/#mainTo get the review of the day widget working, review this:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/whoop-theme-available-widgets/#rotd-widgetThat is possible if you let the Google API choose the location and you do not correct it by choosing from the existing places. But there can also be some other reasons, and these links will be helpful:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/how-do-i-merge-locations/
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-countries-and-map-directions/Normally you would hide them by only allowing submissions in your default location:
GD > Multilocations > and change from default country and default region to the settings of your choice. -
