June 10, 2019 at 7:42 am in reply to: How to change the default city, region, country on the add listing form? #491916Oops, I just checked and since V2 you can just choose any location to be default when editing the location. That is new in V2.
June 10, 2019 at 6:49 am in reply to: How to change the default city, region, country on the add listing form? #491902Normally you set the default location when setting up the directory.
If you did not do that, you have to do it the way I described.
You can also disable the Location Manager and that will leave you with one location which you can then change. But that will break most addresses so that is why I did not suggest that.
The option to merge is only available when selecting at least 2 locations. Please post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply and we’ll quickly change it for you.
June 10, 2019 at 5:39 am in reply to: How to change the default city, region, country on the add listing form? #4918821. You will have to create a new location or use an existing one that will be your new default location.
2. Merge with your current default location by selecting your current default location and the new location, and then choosing Merge from the bulk options.
3. Check on the Add Listing page.Which part do you have a problem with?
You can’t style fields on the Add Listing page. Only on all other pages.
There is no point styling a textarea or drop down etc.June 10, 2019 at 4:13 am in reply to: How to change the default city, region, country on the add listing form? #4918761. You will have to create a new location or use an existing one that will be your new default location.
2. Merge with your current default location by selecting your current default location and the new location, and then choosing Merge from the bulk options.Correct, there’s no use for it because there’s no fields requiring styling.
Try reading my previous answers again.
The fields are not “used” (displayed) on the Add Listing page. You can only add data.
ThanksJune 10, 2019 at 3:39 am in reply to: How to change the default city, region, country on the add listing form? #491871You just change the default location at GD > Settings > Locations. You will have to create a new location or use an existing one to merge with your current default location.
Be aware that the addresses of any listings in your current default location will need to be updated
ThanksCan you explain what you mean with the “gd add listing widget”?
You can only add data to the fields on the Add Listing page.
The output of the fields is only ever on other pages like the detail and categories pages.
CSS is only used in the output.Have a look at https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/updating-your-language-files/
That string should be in the V2 core language file.
ThanksPlease log in with your current GD membership if you need support for a site where GD addons are installed.
From https://wpgeodirectory.com/support-policy/Support for Free Users (non members) is provided for website where only the core plugin is installed and used. If addons are installed and used (even only one addon), the user will have to subscribe again before being able to receive support.
Thanks
AirBnB and Google don’t use WordPress to run their sites. The problem is that such a feature will only work with servers with a lot of processing power, or if you have a small number of listings. I’ll get the developers to comment further if there is anything to add. Thanks
At GD > Settings > Show Advanced > Maps API, select OpenStreetMaps.
Did you set a default location at GD > Settings > Default location?
You definitely need a better server environment: https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/
The SoapClient will only be required when you install the Payment Manager addon and the Invoicing plugin.
You can use the software without maps, but you still need addresses, so one Map API will need to be used. Thanks
June 10, 2019 at 12:17 am in reply to: How to remove address field descriptions of some fields? #491849You can use the GD language file to edit those descriptions.
