You have to add an email address to the listing for it to work.
Please check now. ThanksHaving had problems that it seemed were impossible to rectify I decided to remove the whole Geo Plugin to start over. I did this via SFTP to ensure that everything was cleanly deleted (although strangely the licence details remained intact!).
Removing all the files does not remove any data in the database.
But that does not seem to be your problem. If I have a city page open and try to Edit the page it defaults to the blank Location Page in the back-end and on opening the page again it defaults to a Location Page with no detail.
That is because there is only one Location template that is used for all cities, regions and countries.
The content of those pages is controlled by the data you add at GD > Locations, not by creating duplicate WP pages.Hopefully that explains things better.
If there is anything in particular you want to edit on https://gopuertoplata.com/location/dominican-republic/puerto-plata-province/puerto-plata/ let us know, and we will tell you how. Thanks
June 2, 2019 at 12:02 am in reply to: Version 1: how to disable the map on certain listings detail page? #490376You will need to create a new CPT that does not use addresses.
Then move/export the virtual listings there.
See https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-general/#physicalThanks
June 1, 2019 at 11:59 pm in reply to: How to set SEO tags when using Elementor? SEO Overrides don't show anywhere. #490375Are you visiting a page generated from the frontend for Places, or are you previewing a template?
I cannot re-create this on my test site. Thanks
June 1, 2019 at 11:47 pm in reply to: GD > Categories widget, the title tag field isn't working. #490373The tooltip says that is for the “auto-generated CPT title”, not for the widget title.
But CPT titles are not displayed, but they probably should be.
I’ll get the developers to have a look. Thanks for reporting
Please post WP admin login details in a private reply and we will have a look for you.
You’re welcome. Let us know if you get stuck.
That page is obsolete, registration and login is handled differently now.
People always need to register, but there is an option to have registration and adding a listing at the same time in V2.
GD > Settings > General > Show Advanced > Allow posting without logging in?The gd-login page is obsolete in V2. You can delete that page.
We suggest you use UsersWP, or you can just use the WP registration and login pages: https://userswp.io/Thanks
To change the icon circled in the image: Places > Settings > Custom Fields > Categories > edit the icon.
And what is the category color for? Does that apply to anything GD related?
For the Category widget, see https://wpgeo.directory/starter/
Thanks
Enable multi regions > YES is the default setting when activating the Location Manager.
We’ll have a look as to how we can improve https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/addons/location-managerThanks
Have a look at your settings at GD > Settings > Locations > Region > Enable multi regions > YES
Thanks
No, there isn’t, but that is not a bad suggestion 🙂
Maybe a future implementation, I’ll get the developers to look at your suggestion.
ThanksYou’re welcome. Let us know if you get stuck.
If you use the default email field, then the email address will be masked if you use the ninja form:
