That setting allows for listings in selected CPTs to be only added by admins, as op option.

Make sure to allow Event posting at GD > Design > Navigation > Allow post type to add from frontend

You should never have to add coordinates, they are auto added from wherever you drag the marker on the map, or the address you enter.
Coordinates are only not showing on the front because you would have chosen to hide them at GD > Place Settings > Custom Fields > Address field > Show latitude and longitude > NOYou can always drag the marker to the correct spot, and then enter the correct street address. That should work every time.

I have never seen this happen before, there should be no need to change anything at all when updating the GD plugin.
Did you update a very old version or did you update a recent version?
How do you update? You just click “update” in the plugin section or do you do anything else?Thanks
Did you update the theme that had modifications to the functions.php file?
Theme updates over-write all files, customized or not.Please post WP admin details in a private reply.
