Normally, you replace the logo with your own.
And you can always use a normal WP page for the home page of your site, you don’t need to use the GD Home page.

Shortcodes are to be used for WP pages or posts.Can you de-activate all plugins you don’t use or don’t need, this is most likely a conflict.

The page selected at GD > Permalinks > GD Home page should be “Location” if you want to use a non-GD page as your site’s homepage.Thanks
