S2member together with Buddypress should be able to achieve all that without special coding knowledge [depending what that means to you 🙂 ].
The last bit “Non members can register to event directly thru paypal.” can maybe be done with formidable pro forms depending on the requirements.

It works fine for me.

Two possible causes I can think of:
1. You navigated to a location where there are no listings in that CPT
2. Your host’s caching system is not compatible with GD: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/server-requirements/#wp
