Check GD > Design > Listings tab > New listing default status
To automatically publish, set it to “Publish”.
If you want to review submissions before publishing, set to “draft”.

Another way to change “events” slug, install the Custom Post Types > edit events > and change the names there.

I cannot find your event manager language file in your
/wp-content/languages folders at all.
If the language files are not in the correct folder, they will not work, see
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-addons/ again.

GD does not care how your users register, WP has only one way of user registration, and that can be done with heaps of different ways. If you use another registration plugin like buddypress or a membership plugin, then you should not use the GD registration system. The GD registration system is only for sites that do not use their own.
