You add custom fields at
Places (or other CPT) > Settings > Custom fields.
Only listings in CPTs that have a physical location can be connected to maps. Thanks
December 5, 2019 at 11:40 pm in reply to: Issue after import. GeoLocation just results in a page not found. #520192Can you explain what you mean with “GeoLocation just results in a page not found”? What are the steps to recreate this?
If you want us to have a look at your settings then please post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply and we’ll have a look.
Thanks
I am guessing that this is a recurring package because you are expecting some automated payment on expiry.
This will only work if the listing has been created from the frontend and the customer has entered into an agreement with PayPal that allows for automatic payments.
It is the anniversary of that agreement at PayPal that triggers the automatic payments.
Changing anything in the backend of your site does not change anything of the agreement between your customer and PayPal.
ThanksJust to clarify: if you use a Custom Post Type without a Physical Location, then no locations can ever be assigned to those listings.
There is no option to restrict listings without a Physical Location to either a country or region or city.
But you can add custom fields (or categories – not preferable) if there is any way that you want to indicate where they are located, or where they provide services.Thank you

Thanks
Sorry, but that is not an option.
Fields can only be package dependent.
ThanksThey are very common and usually go in your spambox.
They probably found GeoDirectory on your site or just the code.
Just ignore them.
ThanksSo, if I understand this correctly, he pizzeria itself was in the Places CPT and the Events were in Events CPT.
Correct.
Somehow though the events showed in a tab on the Places Listing, too.
Yes, because the tab is added on purpose at Places > Settings > Tabs.
That is optional. It had this message, which I didn’t understand – “This is a linked event, added by one user to a listing of another user. Look in the sidebar for a link to the listing this event is linked to.”
You can allow one user to add events to a listing of another user, or you can restrict linking to the same user.
For example, you have one user add a music hall. But you allow other users to link the details of their concerts to that music hall.
Or, you have one user add a golf course, but you allow only that user to add events at that golf course.1. Is each event a separate listing in Events?
One event can have many dates, for example a movie screening can have a number of sessions. That would be added as one event with recurring sessions.
But each session could be added as a new event too, but normally not.2. If so, would a person need to pay separately for each Event listing? (if we wanted to set it up that way).
If you charge for listings, then each event will be charged. For the above example, the movie with recurring sessions will incur one fee only.
Different price packages can be created for events that allow for recurring times and dates.3. Could 1 or 2 Event listings be included in the price of a Places listing (for example), while 3 or more events would be a higher price/package?
No, each listing is treated by itself. In the future we intend to more complex packages like you describe, but there is no estimated time for that yet.
Thanks
I am guessing you are adding a title and description in the WP Media settings, but you must add that as part of the listing, see image 2.
From https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/settings/import-export/#images
1. To upload new images, use the filename like this:
filename.extension
2. If you already have uploaded the image to an existing listing, the file URL will be shown like this:
https://mysite.com/wp-content/uploads/year/month/filename.extensionEither way, they need to be uploaded by FTP before or after the import of the CSV file.
If you upload then before, you can add them anywhere you want.
If you upload then after, they have to be in the current month folder of the uploads folder, see image 1.
Do not upload them using the WP Media option. I am guessing that is what you are doing, and that is what creates the duplicate. Thanks
You’re welcome.
