That was done in case you change background color of your featured listings, in search and listings page, so that you could put the same background.

Not to give a different star color for normal and featured listings.

I believe this could be due to a conflict with another plugin, did you recently install anything new?

I also see the map is working in the backend add listing form, but the icon is missing.
