That is not possible, the category description appears above the listings in the main content area.

You can use the same widget area used for the search bar and put a ad widget on top of it, but that will not allow you to assign a different banner to each category.

Unless there is a plugin offering such conditional tags.

Visual editor only allows to create page content, they don’t allow to customize other sections of the website.

Only some CSS tweaks can do that.

Are you adding them via the add event form? yoursite.com/?listing_type=gd_event
If you are trying to import them via the add place form, it is normal that it will add them as places.

That is not possible. We can only redirect them after they shared their location. It’s against google geolocation TOS to grab a user location without his permission.
