if it is appending the -1 to a location, there MUST be a tag or a category somewhere in your database.

If you provide phpmyadmin or cpanel credentials and the name of at least 1 location having the problem, we’ll show you how to check.

I’m sorry, but V2 will not allow for anything similar and rather than customizing the sort order of the plugin, I’d ask to a developer to help you place a widget showing X featured listings on top of the regular listings and sort the listings below by random.
