If as tabs you have only Regions and City you could try:

.geodir_location_tabs:nth-child(1) {display:none}

But I don’t think it is ideal because when you move to a region the location select part will adjust to region anyway…

I don’t understand this statement though: Since there is still some issue by switching from regions to cities (or viceversa)

yes it looks like you are using ubermenu. There is a setting within the plugin to remove their call to google maps API.

Once you disable that, everything will work as expected.

there is also an excerpt option in Avada settings >> Blog.

You set excerpt with 500 words as limit.

That is creating the issue, as both are using default wordpress excerpt function and the Avada option is overriding the GD option.

I’ve asked to our developers to have a look and change hook priority so it isn’t changed by any theme or plugin option.

Nohing you can really do, it shouldn’t come up anymore. The error was random but with a line of code he made sure it can’t happen in any case.
