I just read your question again and what you are asking to do is not possible.

Selecting Paris from the location switcher will only show listings from Paris, not near by.

Only the search form can produce that results.

this is not a mistake. In search results pages distances are provided as the crow flies.

Exact distance between 2 points, not driving or walking distance.

Provinding walking or driving distance instead would slow down the loading of the page. his because in search results pages there are normally, more than 1 result.

If you add the loginbox widget in any sidebar, the login user will see a link to “My listings”.

Selecting Places will take him to the list of listings he added and there will be a button to delete them too.
