They are not 2 different archives.
The location page is the directory home page of each location. It is the starting point for 1 city, region or country.
It can show top rated places, upcoming events, blog posts, and even products from e-commerce, tickets from a ticketing system and what not.
The other is an archive of a single Custom post type for 1 location.
The difference is huge, I’m sorry that you don’t see it.
The only differences I see with our demo are the contact badges that include this class “alignleft”.
I’m not 100% sure where they are coming from, but I’ve alerted the developers and they’ll figure it out and let us know.

in that case GeoDirectory is doing its job all the way through, the problem is with the mail server and most probably it is an SMTP issue.
An SMTP plugin should solve this. There are a lot of them. This is just one of the most popular: https://it.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/

Any kind of notifications? Please install the plugin email log and check if notifications are being created and not sent by the server. In that case, the problem would be with the hosting.

Can you recreate the problem every time you search for those terms?
Normally database connections problems, are due to problems with the database server in shared hosting.

If you are able to follow that tutorial carefully, you will see that it is not that intimidating.

There is a filter to diable it.
“geodir_autosave” Needs to be set to zero: 0
