Hi,
if I try to open the image on my browser, I get a black screen with an error, see image attached.
Make sure the image file isn’t corrupted.
In addition it would be better to upload the new image in a different location to avoid losing the change after every plugin update…
Thanks
November 14, 2016 at 9:26 pm in reply to: Want Listings To Be Ranked with Reviews and Ratings First #303559Hi,
Sorting is applied to archives of CPT/categories, not to search results that are sorted by search relevance, otherwise you’d be serving search results without logic to your visitors.
For example if someone search a restaurant by name, he’ll expect to have result sorted by name relevance, not by ratings…
You’d need to add links to your category somewhere in your menu or in your pages like we have in our demo to be able to reach those pages.
I was under the impression that a generic search without any input from the user would return results sorted by whatever is your selected default sort, but I can’t seem to make it work that way anymore (I’m 99% sure it was working that way).
I flagged the developers to verify this last doubt and let us know,
Thanks
November 14, 2016 at 9:05 pm in reply to: Add specific category nearby listings to Place Detail Page #303552Hi,
currently the only option would be to alter the related listings code, but it isn’t something that can be done with few lines of code. New options and queries would have to be added and that is beyond the scope of a support forum.
EDITED:
I thought this could be feasible, but after a second thought I realized this would require a lot of conditions that would make it really inefficient.
In Design > detail we would need to create a number of options equal to the number of categories you have installed (potentially unlimited) and for each, allow you to select what other category should be displayed in each case.
That is not practical and would be unusable in all website that have more than a couple categories.
Thanks
November 14, 2016 at 6:51 pm in reply to: Advanced search filter not showing on the Search page #303457hi,
drop down selector are sorting options and they only work in CPT/category pages, not search result that are sorted by relevance with the search criteria used.
If you provide admin credentials, we will check the double header title problem in your search results page, but I guess it’s the result of some custom code that shouldn’t be there. I can’t recreate that in our demo.
Thanks

Hi,
please use the translation files to modify placeholders, overwriting it with JS is not the correct way.

Hi,
that image is only 4kb and can’t be optimize much more.
Thanks
p.s. the plugin you used can only optimize images that are uploaded via wp media manager. Not all images that are already present in your themes and/or plugins.
I asked to the developers to check and let us know.
Thanks
Hi,
I no longer see a grey bar (because you add few more listings and now it is zooming correctly).
I see more than 1 category in the map and I can’t check the widget problems you report unless you also provide admin credentials for us to check your dashboard.
Thank you,
Hi again,
you are using an extremely old version of the theme (1.0.0) that version didn’t come with auto updates, so you’ll have to update manually after downloading from here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/members/karlosuccess/downloads/
Let us know if that was the problem.
Thanks,
p.s. the plugin you used to minify is not tested, that could be creating css and js errors too.
Hi,
it seems to be working correctly on my side, did you try clearing your browser cache?
This is the URL I get after searching :
It is getting correctly my lat and long (guadalajara mexico) and says no results found.
Thanks
That’s cause by some theme css, add this to GD > design > scripts > custom css:
.geodir_category_list_view li { margin-left: 0; }Thanks
Hi,
no that is not possible, Google Maps returns region names not abbreviated.
Thanks
November 12, 2016 at 8:26 pm in reply to: No Bottom, footer and locatio image in search results page #302805Hi,
1) that is how the template works, (airbnb style) and the same is visible in our demo.
2) the location featured image is only visible in the location page, not in the search page, which is a different template this is also visible in our demo.
Thanks
November 12, 2016 at 8:23 pm in reply to: Search not finding locations when searching outside area #302804Hi,
I’m not sure I understand the question at all.
My impression is that you are try to use the search field incorrectly.
The 1st field will search keywords in Title, Description, Categories and Tags.
The second field will look for Country, Region, City, Neighborhood, ZIP or Street address (connecting to GMaps API).
If someone search for a city name in the 1st field, the system will probably return no results, unless any listings have the city name in either the description, tags or categories.
To help us understand exactly what you are asking for, we would probably need few examples (with URL of the search results).
Let us know,
Thank you
