Hi,
that string comes from the Claim Listing add-on. The translating procedure is very similar, but you have to translate the claim listing po file: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-addons/
Let us know how you went,
Thanks
TIm, W3TC is not compatible… https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/what-caching-plugin-can-i-use/
What issue with the sidebar??
Hi again,
I checked again truckepedia.co.uk via file manager in your control panel (it’s the same site I checked before) and the geodirectory folder is indeed missing inside the wp-content/languages folder and the translation file for GeoDirectory is not there either.
For sure you have skipped point 4 of the tutorial. I can’t tell what else hasn’t be done because I don’t see the translation file anywhere.
Please follow the 6 steps that can be found below the video (it’s the same 6 points that I pasted in my previous reply). https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translate-core/
I went through that procedure countless times and if followed by the book, it works 100% of times. Unfortunately it is really not possible to make it simpler.
Let us know how you went,
Thanks
Hi again, in wp-content/languages you haven’t created a folder geodirectory and I don’t see the file geodirectory-en_UK.mo anywhere, so I can’t check if it’s been created correctly.
Unless I’m looking at the wrong website, which one is it? There are 3…

You’ll find an answer by tomorrow morning for sure.
Thanks
You will need to add the same CSS (with different max-width) for all media queries.
Let us know if that helped.
Thanks
Hi Linda,
1) please go to GD >> Theme Compatibility >> Select Theme Compatibility Pack and select Custom. Now add “container” in the Class field of the geodir_wrapper_open hook (see image attached)
Save and that should do it.
2) That is a widget title, you can change the text, but it can’t show the categories unless you type them in the title filed of that widget.
3) Add this in GD >> design >> script >> custom css:
.geodir_list_heading a.geodir-viewall, .geodir-addinfo { display: none; }The settings you used set the content area to 75% of the available space, which is what your website is showing now.
4) Go to appearance widget and remove the popular category widget from the GD Home Top Section widget area.
Thanks
Hi,
you can create all that via Appearance >> Menus and drag and drop the element to create the hierarchy.
Let us know if that helped.
Thanks
Hi,
I think I understood correctly.
The Nijo Castle listing is assigned to Cherry Blossom, which is a sub-category of Gardens and Parks that was removed. This is NOT GOOD. A listing assigned to a sub-category must be assigned to the parent category too.
Either you remove it from Cherry Blossom too or you it add back correctly with both Parent and Sub-category.
The system will not work correctly unless you use it this way. Please correct all listings that have a sub-category assigned without its parent category (the Japanese Garden problem is the same…) and let us know if all other problems went away.
Thanks
Hi,
it looks like you haven’t done anything that is explained here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translate-core/
Please follow the text tutorial. It’s 6 easy points.
- Download poedit or check here for alternatives http://codex.wordpress.org/Translating_WordPress
- Open the .po file for GD core in poedit, this is located in the core plugin language folder geodirectory/geodirectory-languages/geodirectory-en_US.po, if you are translating to another language the you should copy this file and rename it, for example if translating to french you would rename the file geodirectory-fr_FR.po
- Translate GD core in poedit and save it to create the .mo file.
- Upload the .mo file in our case “geodirectory-en_US.po” to your wordpress language folder, usually your wordpress language folder will be /wp-content/languages/ if the languages folder does not exist then just create it. Then we use the textdomain for GD core which is “geodirectory” and create a sub folder, so eventually our file path should look like this:/wp-content/languages/geodirectory/geodirectory-en_US.mo
- If you have not set the language of your website yet, you do that by going to your wp-admin area, and then go to Settings > General > Site language and select your language there.
- Go to your homepage and refresh to see your changes
September 15, 2016 at 6:31 pm in reply to: Front end Event 'form' pulling in some fields from Place #266936Definitely in few hours. Developers are in India and UK, so they are all off as it is late. I’ve flagged it for the 1st one to come online, he’ll let you know asap.
Remember you can export listings in CSV and re-import them…
Thanks
Hi,
please provide a link and admin credentials and attach a sample CSV with few of the listings that you are trying to import.
We can’t tell what the problem could be without having a look at your settings and the file.
Let us know,
Thanks
Hi,
GeoDirectory and all it’s add-on including GD Booster can’t be network activated. You must activate them for each website were they are needed individually.
Please do that and after clear the GD Booster cache.
Let us know if that helped.
Thanks
You are welcome 🙂
September 15, 2016 at 6:06 pm in reply to: Front end Event 'form' pulling in some fields from Place #266924Hi Lisa,
that is really strange and I can’t recreate it in any of our demos.
Please provide FTP credentials and one of our developers will debug this for you.
Let us know,
Thanks
