the problem of that picture is the portrait format.

It will impossible to make it look as you wish in that space. It would look tiny…

You should have users upload landscape pictures at least for the featured image.

GeoDIrectory is a plugin, none of our theme (or any compatible theme) will have a directory without GeoDirectory plugin.

The add-ons will extend the core plugin features.

The plugin and add-ons will work exactly the same with no matter which theme you decide to use. The themes will only change the design and very few options.
