Hello,
it is a customization, and you may get some results from using CSS.
Hello!
Have you already tried a Recaptcha?
https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/gd-recaptcha/
The login credentials don’t work for me, please double check them.
You can read more about that near the bottom of this page:
Hello,
please use FTP or SFTP to edit the file.
Hello,
someone had the idea to use social login from UsersWP and then hide the normal WordPress fields. You could try that.
That is a normal behavior, as the new CSS is overriding pre-existing CSS.
Hello,
you can edit the post and set the featured image for the post.
Hello David,
Review images are separate and not pooled with the listing. That would be a customization.
Please make another topic for your new questions.
Thanks
Hello David,
Thanks for writing in with your questions.
#1: I understand GD has a registration functionality for visitors. However, what is actually the purpose of this / benefit given that place ratings can be made also with user’s Name + E-Mail?
#1A The purpose is to require that a user submit a name and email to be associated with the rating.
#2: is it possible with GD that once a non-registered user has submitted a place rating he receives an e-mail where he needs to verify his rating by clicking a link? This would give maximum flexibility (no registration required) but avoid people just entering fake e-mail addresses and fake multiple ratings
That is not possible, as there would not be an email and an account. At least this is not a feature of GD, but may be possible with 3rd party plugins. Validation of email through an activation link is a optional feature included with USersWP. https://userswp.io
#3 Would it be possible to waive this rating e-amil verification if a user has logged in via facebook?
Social login registration does not bypass registration; it may be easier for users who are familiar with it, though, and could be seen as a positive feature for users who make use of it on other sites.
Hello!
Some text and headers can be changed under the GeoDirectory settings, and a few more are available through the widgets or email notifications. The remaining text not accessible through those pages can still be changed by making a copy of the translation file and editing the text into what you need.
Please first check GD > Titles & Metas
If you don’t find what you are looking for there, more options are available with the Custom Post Type Addon at GD > Custom Post Types ( https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/custom-post-types/ )
Finally, all additional text is available in the translation files. You can open up the file for your language, change the text, and load it to the language folder. There are separate files fr the core plugin, addons, and the theme. You also need to make sure you have selected the language for your site, don’t forget that of course.
Here are the complete instructions:
You can find complete instructions here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translate-core/
Each add-on has translation files, too: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-addons/Once you change one ‘string’ and see it working, you will probably want to change many more to make your site stand out and ‘speak’ to your customers.
Let us know how it goes!

There is no slider option at the moment, but it has been accomplished by developers in the past.
We will consider it as a feature for the future.
