August 22, 2019 at 12:14 pm in reply to: Sorting by Package adding weight to sorting – question 2 #504351
Can you share an example? What page are you looking at and what are the issues you see?
To sort by price package id
Consider rebuilding your price packages in order by ID such that “Gold” has ID 20, Silver ID 15 etc so that sorting by package ID (descending) achieves what you want.
Hello,
Sorting has a variety of features built in. To accomplish what you want you can consider the following:
Sort by price package id
Consider rebuilding your price packages in order by ID such that “Gold” has ID 20, Silver ID 15 etc so that sorting by package ID (descending) achieves what you want.
Featured
Featured is already a sort option. However, featured is either included or excluded from a package, so, sorting by package ID would probably accomplish the same thing. It is more common to use GD Listings to show a group of “Featured only” listings across packages in a page footer or sidebar.
You can still sort by featured, though, with order as descending (o->1). A sort of featured can include any price package that includes featured. If you add a subsort, you can sort by title or Add date (ascending shows oldest listings first).
Claimed
You can sort by claimed, or by post add date. Claimed is a on/off like featured. You could have a sort though that is Sort Claimed (descending) and then subsort by add date (descending) to show the newest listings first.
I have put together a note about sorting options and your suggestions for the developers and they will consider them for future versions. We do not perform any customizations here in the forum, paid or otherwise. You can contact paid support here: https://geodirectoryexperts.com
Thank you

Every GD site will have a GD Details page template and a GD Archive template, but if those templates have only the default content, then you will need to add the additional elements like GD Post Address to ‘personalize’ it.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/personalize/
You can edit the WP pages from the backend, then use the shortcode builder to add shortcodes, or, for the details page, add widgets to the sidebar that is showing there.
Hello,
do you mean the user account on the website?
Our UsersWP plugin has an option to confirm registration by clicking on an activation link. That will confirm the use email.
You can find the plugin on https://wordpress.org/plugins/userswp/
Hello,
That would require a customization.
It is a good idea though, and based on your previous suggestions and this one the developers have several features they will be considering for future versions of the near me collection of features.
Hello,
For GDV1 style archive links without the category base we have the 404 Rescue feature in the developers settings. Please see:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/settings/permalinks/#404-rescue
The category base is required and cannot be removed without a customization that falls outside support.

I will mark this as resolved. Add a new topic if you have another question

Hello,
Listima has a full page template for the front page and there isn’t anywhere to edit with the builder. If you wanted to make a custom page with all your own layout you could edit that with a builder, but with Listima, the Home page template completely takes over the front page.
The Register page will always redirect logged in users. It must be reviewed by a logged out user. You can do that in Chrome with ctrl-shift-n for incognito mode. Just disable the coming soon plugin temporarily so you can do that.
Those pages are special, other pages shouldn’t give you any trouble.
I added some CSS for the row with the button. This is a conflict between Fusion builder and the slider used in the home page row. You can report this conflict to the theme authors.
