Themer Layouts often override sidebar settings. Themer includes a Sidebar module. Try that and select the sidebar you want.
If you have already performed the upgrade and conversion of the DB to GDV2, then restoring a complete backup is one way to rollback to V1.
I see now, there seems to be something wrong with the image URLs.
