You can change your categories in the category edit screen like:
Places – Place Categories – Edit (Hotel)
To change the title of a widget, open the widget
WordPress – Appearance – Widgets – Widget Title

I see, well, we can check on the settins, if you would make a private reply and then include WP Admin credentials and site URL. FTP can help if the developers need to do debugging.
Where is the search page? GD Search?
There are no built in widgets for GD for the CPT description or category description in GDV1, so, you would need custom code or a 3rd party plugin to diplay that. For example, make a custom text widget, then use Widget logic to diplay the widget only on the /nursing-homes/ cpt archive page.

We recommend doing that with a badge so you can alter the display text so it makes sense for your site. I mean, you can just show the field in the sidebar, but, then you might want to adjust the label.
Anyways, the badge example is here:

If there are no posts of the type and in the location then it will not show.
