S2 can be used to charge for time-limited access to selected pages.
So as a basic example, you can charge $10 for a year, and then they can access the ADD LISTING page for a year.
GD can be set to charge per listing. For the various CPTs above, would I price them out at “zero” and use S2 Member Pro to handle the pricing and signups via URI restrictions?
That would give unlimited free listings during the S2 time-limited access. Is it possible create additional CPTs at the event level or only at the places level? If not, I’m assuming I’d only have one events post type much like the places post type and would need to define various categories in it, yes?
You can only have one Event CPT, but you can have categories and subcategories. Finally, if I have an “add listing or events” link under each CPT, I’m anticipating having a sign-up form with the S2 Member URI shortcodes for each CPT type. Is this how I should build out the sign up process?
1. Create S2 memberships, and set restrictions for URIs
2. You can have the ADD LISTING links anywhere.
3. If anybody follows any of the ADD LISTING links anywhere on the site, and they DO NOT have the required S2 membership, they will be directed to the S2 membership page, to buy or upgrade their membership.
4. If a user is already logged in and follows any of the ADD LISTING links anywhere on the site, and they DO have the required S2 membership, they will just go straight to the ADD LISTING page. All this can be set up and tested with the free S2 version, the PRO version will give you better options for membership registration, but does not affect the membership and URI setup.
Please post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply and we will have a look for you.
The user should be able just to add the youtube URL, like

Yes, we would need to have access to the admin area, so please post URL and WP admin details in a private reply if we need to have a look at the theme compatibility issues.
Thanks
The city, region and country is to categorize your listings.
The lat and lng is to position them on the maps.
So if you add an address in London and coordinates for Paris, the listing will come up on the London page but the map will show it in Paris. Thanks
I don’t think there is a setting for that, but you can always ask in the buddypress forum: https://buddypress.org/support/
Thanks
We cannot see your site because it says “coming soon”.
The demo I think you are referring to, is the Supreme theme.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/supreme-directory/If you do not want the maps on the right, you are better off with using one of the other themes like Directory Starter: https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/directory-starter/
1. See above
2. You can use a normal WP page as your homepage:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#home
3. Use top section on all pages or add shortcode:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/#directory
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-shortcodes/#search
4. Depends on the theme, some themes will add it automatically. Please choose a theme and if want more info, add your WP admin details in a private reply.
Thanks
1. That is correct behavior. “My listings” means the listings the user added or “owns”.
2. If you are using BP with GD, the normal WP template is used, so you need to add widgets to the “Sidebar” section.
3. I’ll get Paolo to have look at your CSS question.
PS: please login with your member account if you want to receive further support for your GD addons.
Thanks
Can you please post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply so we can review your settings? Thanks

That is what the favorite button is for. Add the GD Login widget and review your settings at GD > Design > Navigation.
ThanksYou’re welcome 🙂
openoffice or libreoffice are the only proven ways of creating the upload files.
Having said that, I have never tried Google Sheets for this. This reply has been marked as private.I will leave #3 To Stiofan.
The /location/ page is the startpage of the directory and will have information for everywhere. The homepage may not have information about all locations. And you can add a link to “Home” for your visitors on the main menu or they can click on the logo.
The “switcher” and the “location field” serve a different purpose.
The “switcher” is not a search function but takes you to the page for a particular city or region.
The “location field” allows you to search IN a city or region [example Berlin] or NEAR a particular place [example Brandenburg Gate].
