To have a Login/Logout in your menu, is easy with Buddypress.
Just add the links from the menu, see image.You can restrict access to /members with plugins like s2member, which integrates with Buddypress too.
The widgets can be added, but they don’t show up. For example I added the Listings Map to the Listings sidebar, but it does not show up on the listings pages.
Theme My Login is not compatible with the GD Search functions.

GD > Design > Listings tab > Show description field as editor > Select Events.

I checked the documentation and it is current, there is no need to create a Facebook Login app for the GD Social importer.Have you added the GD Listing Map widget to a GD Listing section?
If you want us to check your settings, post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply and we will have a look.GD does not rely on users being authors, any level including subscriber is fine.
All users (except admins) can only edit their own listings and events.
You can change new users to be authors at WP Settings > General > New User Default Role, but it will make no difference.The MO file should be at /wp-content/languages/geodiradvancesearch/geodiradvancesearch-de_DE.mo

Am I misunderstanding your question?
I see that you intend to have featured listings also to have more options than a not-featured listing. The simplest would be to use the Payments and Prices addon and add a featured package with a zero price.
