1. The language files work exactly the same but you will need to update the ones you have. See https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/updating-your-language-files/
2. You should delete or deactivate any custom PHP coding your have. Nothing else. Your extra custom fields will get converted as part of the process.
Thanks
It looks like you did not follow the steps correctly at https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/installation/#convert
Also, your GD plugins are not up to date.
I’ll get a developer to have a look too, but maybe you can just create another staging site and have another try. Let us know. You’re welcome 🙂
I added the tab at Local Services > “Tabs” tab, and added Description as a tab.
Please check.Have a look at GD > Multilocations > Home page should go to > Site root
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/multilocations/#locationThanks
Please post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply and we will check your settings.
ThanksThe image is of WP custom fields, they are not used with GD, you only use the GD custom fields.
If you add all listings yourself, just create your 5 categories, and 5 GD custom fields.
Then when adding a listing, you only populate the fields you want to use for a category.
As simple as that, no need to complicate more.Making sense?
December 20, 2018 at 1:35 pm in reply to: Claim addon causes an annoying message telling me to install "WP easy updates" #459456??? We only want to make sure you get the latest version all the time so you have any bug fixes and security features. It is a free plugin … https://wpeasyupdates.com/
If you don’t want the latest secure version of your addon, then you don’t need “WP easy updates”.
I’ll ask the developers how you can turn it off.2. I understand that Custom Fields are CPT specific, but can I create a new one?
You can use any of the ones listed on the left hand side, similar to https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#custom
See also https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/places/custom/3. If, per your comment, you would like to make a Custom Field specific for categories within a CPT through price packages, could you set the price to 0, as I will be adding the listings and not external parties?
Yes, but if you add the listings yourself, it does not really matter, because you will be entering the data in the custom fields, so there would be no need to prevent some custom fields by way of packages.4. How do the Custom Fields within a Listing relate to Custom Fields within the Setting?
Not sure what you mean, I think you may be misunderstanding … ? Each CPT has its custom fields, for example category, address, phone, website address etc.5. Where do the Custom fields within a Listing show up?
Where you want them to show, for example in a tab, or sidebar, or listings page etc.
Similar to https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#showDecember 20, 2018 at 10:47 am in reply to: Claim addon causes an annoying message telling me to install "WP easy updates" #459435By installing “WP easy updates”. “WP easy updates” is required if you want to be able to make sure that your Claims addon stays up to date.
ThanksHave a look at the Advance settings of a custom field, you should see an option:” Include this field in sorting options”.
Custom fields are CPT specific. They will be available for all listings in one CPT only [unless you restrict with a Price package].
Well done 🙂
So you are all good now? Just open a ticket when necessary.
That seems to be a Beaver Builder issue, try turning off Beaver Builder or seek support from them.
ThanksSorry, but that is not possible without your own customization.
