Sorting is only available on the Listings pages, not Search pages.
Search pages will be sorted based on relevancy to the search query of the visitor.https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/searching-and-browsing/

Sorting is only available on the Listings pages.
So if you use the Location Switcher, visitors can select “Japan” and will end up with all the listings for Japan on a Location page.
Then add the Popular Categories widget on that page, and then the visitor ends on the category page for Japan where they can sort the listings depending on your settings.
Example: https://wpgeo.directory/docs/places/united-states/attractions/Thanks
You have some jquery problem, I’ll get a developer to have a closer look too.
Can you also update your theme just in case. Thanks

This reply has been marked as private. The problem in Australia is that Google treats every suburb as a different city. So Sydney and North Sydney are different cities.
Google treats the states and territories as regions, you cannot really change that.
In Australia it is best not to use the Location AutoCompleter, because you will get listing “IN” Sydney suburb only, instead of listings “WITHIN A RADIUS OF X” around the center of Sydney. Thanks
Please install WP Easy Updates and make sure all addons are up to date: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/installing-addons/#updates
If that does not solve the problem, then post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply and we will have a look at your settings.

ThanksI think it may be user error, like they say: “click to agree to ts&cs/review listing and then is goes back to add listing.”
Maybe they click on the link to the terms and conditions, instead of ticking the box and do not realise that they are now in a new temporary tab. -
