If you add an email address to the listing, a “Send Enquiry” link will become available in the sidebar.
To add a link to the author page of the owner of a listing, you can add the Claim Listings addon, see here for an example in the sidebar: https://wpgeo.directory/docs/places/united-states/new-jersey/toms-river/transport/classic-cars/
Thanks
When your directory is only for California, the search will only look in California.
So searching for Boston in California only, most likely returns listings near Boston Market in Roseville. The NEAR search does not only search for cities or regions. In your case it will look for the most relevant location in California. If not a city, it can be a landmark, or a park, or even a business.
For example “Mexican Heritage Pavilion” will find the location as per Google API in California, and return results around that location.
You could change “Type city or leave blank” to “type any address or location in CA only”.

Thanks
That is because your redirect settings in Advanced Search and a change to your permalinks.
Please re-save your permalinks, it looks like you changed GD permalinks or you changed slugs for regions without re-saving WP permalinks.
Another option that may be necessary is GD > GD Tools > Location category counts.

Can you give us WP admin access, so we can review?
ThanksYou’re welcome 🙂
What theme are you using?
Can you give us URL and WP admin access, so we can review?
ThanksHi Rigo
Neither Buddypress or GeoDirectory have the options to do that.
You will need a membership type plugin, that allows you to create different type of user roles, and allows you to restrict access to content and pages for some roles and not others. Thanks
That is most likely the reason: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/known-issues/#loco
If you use the PoEdit method, language changes will not be overwritten if the language file is put in the correct folder /wp-content/languages/plugins
Thanks
You’re welcome 🙂 form both of us
V2 is not ready for a live site.
At this time, you will need a total new install, with a new database. Do not install on an existing site where you had V1.All the news is here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/geodirectory-v2-first-beta-release/
Thanks
That is a setting for your custom fields, please review https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#show
Thanks
You keep saying that you search IN a city or region, when “Near” means “Near the center of”.
Just change the text at GD > Design > Search tab > Near field default value from “Near” to “Near the center of” or something else if you think it is confusing. The search only searches IN if you use autocomplete.
If you enter Plant, then Google thinks you mean something somewhere in Forth Worth, see https://www.latlong.net/ , Just enter plant and click find.
It will have the same coordinates as a search for plant on your site.
Anything searched in the NEAR field has to be in Google’s database, Google does not look up your listings. You’re welcome 🙂
How are you translating?
