CSS is the easiest of all coding I think, and you cannot break things, because it is only for looks 🙂
Have a good look at https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/ and you’ll see how easy most of it is.Cheers
A conversion tool will be available to go from V1 to V2 when V2 is completely ready.
Code customizations may become obsolete, but as long you are using V1 without customizations, conversion should not be a major drama.V1 will stay being supported for quite a while after V1 is available, but will eventually be retired.
Thanks

Please post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply, so we can check your settings.

Sounds like you need to review GD > Permalinks
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-permalinks/If you do not have pages listed there, restore them at GD > GD Tools
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-tools/#pagesIf we need to check your settings, post your URL and WP admin details in a private reply.
Thanks
A user will get a “dashboard” where he can see her listings he added and favorites she liked.
You give a link to that dashboard with the GD Login widget:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#author
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#navigation
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/widgets/#loginboxTo upload a user photo you can extend GD with our UsersWP plugin: https://userswp.io/
Thanks
The site does not have to be HTTPS, but should be 100% HTTP or 100% HTTPS.
If we need to have a look at your site, post your URL and WP admin and FTP details in a private reply here, and we will have a look for you.
Thanks
I have changed the setting for default searches to 200 at
GD > General > Search > Limit squared distance area to X miles (helps improve search speed)
See https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-general/#searchThe setting at
GD > Advanced Search > Default Near Me miles limit (1-200)
is for the “Near me” search only, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/search-filters-overview/#geolocationThanks
Please review https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/widgets/#slider
Only listings with images will be shown.
Thanks
Use this CSS, adjust as required:
#bbpress-forums div.bbp-search-form { margin-bottom: 10px; }Thanks
The Search button at the GD Header Right has covered the entire section, please help me to make it shorter and position it properly, i tried many options myself but unable to fix it.
I widened the site to accommodate the extra options you added to the GD Search. When creating a Listing and you want to add Video, there is a caption/label (“Add video code here, YouTube etc.”). Ordinary users will find it a bit unfriendly dealing with video codes. The average user is used to uploading videos stored on their devices/computers just by clicking and following path.
Can you please show me how to add File button to the Video section to help users when adding videos just as you have for images.
There is no option for that. Your users only have to add the youtube URL, no other code required.
The only way to upload other files than images, is the upload custom field.Hi George, the developer of that plugin was not able to keep supporting the plugin.
The re-design of GD, V2, will have “business hours” built in.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/geodirectory-v2-first-beta-release/Thanks
Can you seek help from bbpress please, that is not GD related.
This may assist: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/Thanks
1. provide grid view option on homepage for visitors/users to select their own views
Options to select grid or list view are only possible on Listings and Search pages.2. Homepage footer settings (sample image attached)
Whoop Options > Footer Styling Options > Enable footer widget areas
Then add widgets at Appearance > GD Footer 1, GD Footer 2 etc3. Search widgets/bar designs (sample image attached)
Add GD Search widget to GD Header Right section.4. Listing body on homepage (sample image attached)
Add Popular Post widgets to GD Home Content section.
Please review https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/#directory5. Search not displaying based on search criteria set( eg. restaurant listings displaying instead of hotels in the criteria)
I can only see results that are in the restaurant category when I select restaurants [but some may be in other categories too]: http://busynets.com/?geodir_search=1&stype=gd_place&sgd_placecategory%5B%5D=6&s=+&snear=&sgeo_lat=&sgeo_lon=
Please review GD > Design > Search: you have two sidebars at 30% and a content section at 67%,, making your page wider than 100%. That does not work correctly.6.”Popular Places” section at the left of the homepage is disproportionately far shorter than the “Latest Places” section at the right of the homepage.
Adjust the settings of the Popular Post View widget in the GD Home Right Section. Thanks
All I am requesting is providing the same features for videos so that users can just click and select their videos stored in whatever path or directory they might have stored them.
Please review https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#fileThe “Search” label is not displaying on my search button in the home page, the size of the button too is very small. please help me fix this.
You can add this CSS to add “Search” to the search button:.fa-search:after {content: " Search";}To increase the size of the button, you can add this CSS:
.geodir-search button {height: 50px;}
For more CSS tweaks see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/The items are not properly or professionally arranged or organised on the home page despite activation and configurations of most of the Add-ons.
Can you give more detail about what you don’t like, so we can explain the settings and widgets. Thanks
