Only those added by employees, otherwise they will be able to edit them.
That is easily done as part of the admin review process before publishing the listing. Thanks
Have a look at the settings at WP Settings > Discussion.
You can turn these off:
* Comment author must fill out name and email
* Users must be registered and logged in to commentThanks
If an employee has registered a business, I want the employee not to be able to edit that business profile (except by adding a review) and the business still be available to be claimed.
That will only be possible if you change the ownership of the listing from the employee to an admin in the backend, and leave as unclaimed. If the employer has registered it, I want the employer to be able to edit it and have claimed it.
That is how it works out of the box. Thanks

You’re welcome 🙂
You cannot install it while V1 is installed, you need to delete everything from V1 including addons.
Since it is beta only, the best idea is to get a new test install.
You do not need Gutenberg.
You should be able to use any time, at least that is the aim, but being beta, no promises 🙂 but let us know any bugs you discover. Thanks
This reply has been marked as private.I will let Kiran update your site, you will indeed need to add usernames for existing users.
With the Claim Listings addon, your users can be linked from their listings to their author page: https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/claim-listings/Thanks
Kiran, the problem is that you are allowed to register without entering a username. The username field is not set as a required field.
ThanksI don’t quite understand why it does not work, but I updated the plugin using https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/useful-plugins/#easy
Please check. Thanks
1) How an specific CPT Listings page could be linked?
Add the CPT Categories widget on a test page, and you will get all links to all CPT and categories pages:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/widgets/#cpt-cats
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-shortcodes/#ctp-cats2) How to hide the CPT selector with CSS only in specific CPT Listings pages?
Look for the special class added and target the CSS, see image. The search widget or shortcode is always the same, there are no options like that. That will not change in V2.
Thanks
To change the icons, edit the categories, and change the category icon:
Places > Place CategoriesTo hide the icons, use this CSS:
.sd.home .featured-area .geodir-pcat-show img, .sd.sd-location .featured-area .geodir-pcat-show img { display: none; }For more CSS tweaks, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/
Thanks
If you allowed commenting after creating listings, you need to allow comments on a per listing basis.
Edit the listing in the backend, and tick Discussion > Allow comments. Thanks
You’re welcome 🙂
