Where did you add the code as explained here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/changing-the-layout-of-addresses/ ?
I cannot find it anywhere?
I suggest using this plugin: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/useful-plugins/#snippetsThanks
Thanks for letting us know.
Have a look at the settings of the popular post view widgets on the homepage. You should be looking at the Home Top or Home middle section.
Thanks
You will need to add widgets to the GD Home sections, see
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/#directory and
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/If you want to keep a normal WP page as the homepage of your site, then select that page at WP > Reading.
Thanks
Not based on their IP, but based on their geolocation. Enable the Advanced Search addon, and you will find the settings there.

It looks like your WP permalinks are not set to postname as explained here:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#postnamesOr you need to publish the Add Listing page.
Let us know how you went. Thanks
January 22, 2018 at 1:11 am in reply to: Import of listings fails despite usage of sample file #413727Try adding listings from the front end of your site, using the Google suggested address after you set your map to German.
Then export your listings to see how the German characters are used.
I am guessing you copied from a non-text based file into your CSV file. Thanks
You’re welcome:)

If we need to review anything else , post URL and WP admin details in a private reply.
ThanksJanuary 21, 2018 at 1:52 pm in reply to: Import of listings fails despite usage of sample file #413690The sample file is only a sample to get started. The best idea is to export your listings to get the correct file setup if you added custom fields and other GD addons.
Categories are required and have to be existing.
If we need to review anything, post URL and WP admin details in a private reply, and also a copy of the CSV file [you may have to ZIP it].
Thanks
January 21, 2018 at 1:48 pm in reply to: Basic questions to understand Claim Listing functionality #413689The ‘charging’ not being required is understood, but I would only like to give access to their listing against payment.
If you create the listing on a free package, and then set
GD > Listing Claims > Options > Force an upgrade to complete the claim listing procedure > YES
it will force them to choose another package than the free one.Registration is required for adding or editing or claiming a listing.
Also for users to favorite a listing, and depending on your settings, leave a review (you can choose if unregistered users can leave reviews.
Registered users do not need to leave an email or name every time they leave a review.#1.2: I assume I can assign each registered user just specific listings they can edit? Otherwise how would one prevent users to edit other places, especially when they are competitors like in most cases?
Registered users can only edit listings they “own”, meaning have submitted themselves or claimed with approval given. To disallow unregistered visitors to review: WP Settings > Discussion > Other comment settings > Users must be registered and logged in to comment > YES
#4.2: Same as per above, I assume only the registered person that is assigned a specific listing can then comment? You wouldnt want owners / listing claimers to comment on other pages.
Any user can comment on a listing. You cannot stop owners of other listings commenting on other listings. Even if you could, all they need to do is log in with another email address. So if was to hire a developper for example for the ticketing (but also other things), the custom codes would continue to work in V2?
Most likely, but that cannot be guaranteed. Thanks
You did not translate “Related listing”.
Please update Supreme and Directory Starter, there may be fixes in the new language files.
I am not sure how the “Prev” and “Next” of “Image x of x” is translated. I’ll ask the developers to check.
I cannot get the translation of “1 Review” or “% Reviews” either. Thanks
You need to publish the listings before reviews can be added.
You can change the default of “Pending Review” at GD > Design > Listings tab > New listing default statusThanks
You do need lat and lng, but you can hide it from the Add Listing form:
GD > Place [or other CPT] Settings > Custom Fields tab > Address field > Show latitude and longitude > NOThanks 🙂
You should find that in the Location Manager language file:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-addons/
https://wpgeodirectory.com/translate/projects/geodirlocation/Thanks
