No, the homepage can only be set to one “city” or everything.
Or redirect to the user’s geo-location.Oops, I should learn to read full posts …
Make the changes to the
/wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory-functions/custom_functions.php
file, or just replace the file with this one:
https://github.com/mistergiri/geodirectory/blob/2087ae0fce14827583d0b35a10f4e05f72bed459/geodirectory-functions/custom_functions.phpThanks
First load every time, including re-entry.
I am guessing the results difference is that there are no listings IN Dublin, but there are results NEAR the center of Dublin.
The Google Map API will treat Dublin City different than Dublin for example too: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/definitions/#locationSee also https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-search/#near
Thanks
Oops, that is because the documentation has not been adjusted when those options moved to the Advanced Search addon quite a while ago.
See https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/search-filters-overview/#redirectRedirect to default location (on first time load users will be redirected to default location: This setting will redirect your visitors on first entry to the location page of your default location.
Using the example just above, if New York City is your default location, any visitors landing on your site will be redirected to yoursite.com/location/united-states/new-york/new-york-city.Sorry about that 🙁
I am not sure what option you think is missing?
I can see from the map that you have listings in more than one country, but your setting in the other image only allows listings in your default country. That seems wrong.
The main location page is intended to load all listings at once. The settings you are showing are not related to what is displayed on the maps.
Can you explain what you think is the problem?
Please post URL and WP admin details in a private reply if we need to check your settings.
Thanks
I forwarded your question to a developer.
Thanks
Are the fields set to show on the detail page?
GD > Event Settings > Custom Fields tab > edit the fieldsYou could add a CPT that does not require addresses, for example “Out of Town” CPT?
Or set the homepage to show the default location only using the Advanced Search addon? Thanks
Please have a look at https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/useful-plugins/#snippets
Thanks
First run GD > GD Tools > GD pages check > RUN
If the location page is missing, click “fix”Then go to GD > Permalinks > Location page > Make sure the new location page is there.
Thanks
To fix the title:
.archive .entry-header h1 { padding: 10px 15px; }Thanks
Add this CSS:
#main-content { max-width: 1219px; margin: auto; }That is Divi styling, not GD.
You can also just have a look at the CSS for the other site, and then apply to yours as explained here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/Thanks
You should only have one MO file, best at
/wp-content/languages/plugins/geodirectory-es_MX.moIf we need to investigate more we will need, in a private reply:
URL
WP admin details
FTP detailsThanks
Only registered users can add listings.
If users are already logged in, the Add Listing link will go straight to the Add Listing form. Thanks
You need to be logged out to be able to see
