More info at
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-search/#near:Be aware of some issues:
If you enter a ZIP or a postcode, be aware that that postcode might be used by different countries in the world and might return results around the center of a city in a different country.Thanks.
You can only have categories in the main search bar, the rest will be in the “Custom Search”.
See point 6 of https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-search/Thanks.
January 17, 2017 at 10:12 pm in reply to: CPT- dropdown like Categorie in Main Searchbar, but with Multiselect #344774Sorry, but that cannot be done.
The only way to allow visitors to pick exactly which categories they want to search is to use the Customize My Search option.
You can set the “cogwheel” permanently open by setting the widget to “always open”.Let me know if I misunderstood. Thanks.
De-activate the default Email custom field and create a new custom Email field as per https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#email.
Thanks
January 17, 2017 at 10:02 pm in reply to: Home Breadcrumb take me to wrong page and Popular Places issue #344767Hi Mike
See https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#home
If you want to use one of your normal WordPress pages for the homepage of your website, then select the GD Location page here.
So you should use Location for the GD Home page, and this is your start page of your directory: http://successpartnerdna.com/location/
You have only added a Popular Post widget for Places (Reastaurants?).
You need to change that or add a new one for Hair Salons.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/widgets/#popular-postHopefully that clears things up. Thanks.
Hi Paolo
1. Go to http://kunden.bonindesign.de/deineinsatz/projekte-suchen/ and enter “gg” in the search field.
Because that is the NEAR field, the MAP APi gives an error.I think that is the what the question is about, I think he wants a redirect instead to another page. But not sure either.
@alphavader
“When i click on Hamburg -where does GD get the cuppoard and all the design info from?”
That is the GD Search page, see more at https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/#directoryHi David, I’ll have a look later today. Thanks.
None of the results pages are at http://kunden.bonindesign.de/deineinsatz/projekte-suchen/
The results pages will always be a page like this:
http://kunden.bonindesign.de/deineinsatz/?geodir_search=blablablaWhen you type “asdas” in the search, you get an alert because you have customized the Search widget.
That would not happen with the default search, you can try it here: http://wordpressmu-3822-8567-17899.cloudwaysapps.com/try-geodirectory
Support for customizations is not available. You’re welcome 🙂
This reply has been marked as private. The files are not created as CSV files, but they seem saved as CSV files after.
I followed this procedure with one of the files: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/csv-tips-and-tricks/
That reduced the file from 4,921,105 bytes to 34,381 bytes, and then uploaded just fine. You’re welcome 🙂
I did add some CSS in style.css.
If you change the radius to zero, you never will find anything.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/searching-and-browsing/#searchI think what you mean is that you want these pages:
http://kunden.bonindesign.de/deineinsatz/location/germany/sachsen/leipzig-1
http://kunden.bonindesign.de/deineinsatz/location/germany/sachsen/
http://kunden.bonindesign.de/deineinsatz/location/germany/January 17, 2017 at 10:03 am in reply to: Unable to add locations and map seems to have disappeared in Add Place Form #344305Please update all your GD plugins to the latest versions first, then we can have another look.
You will need to add your license key at GD > Auto updates/licensing first. Thanks
We will need your URL, WP admin details and FTP details to check your settings and files.
Please post in a private reply.
