I’ve already answered here: https://userswp.io/support/topic/geodirectory-integration-broken/#post-5080
Please avoid opening duplicated topics across forums in the future. 1 is more than enough.
ThanksAugust 22, 2019 at 3:51 pm in reply to: Searching functions are slow (changing post types and map display) #504400That proves my point 100%. The server is good enough to run WP without plugins.
More or less like any shared server on a LAMP Stack too.
If you build a super simple website with WP with few pages, it’ll work just fine. As soon as you add a couple of complex plugins (like e-commerce or a directory system) they start chocking.
They are not built for that purpose. In a decent dedicated server optimized for WordPress (no microsoft), adding major plugins only has an impact of milliseconds.
In 11 years working with WordPress, I’ve never seen a WP powered website running smoothly on a Microsoft server.
That said, I’m going to close this thread because unless you change the server, there is absolutely nothing we can do to help you.
Thank you,
No news yet. At the moment there are still higher priorities.
August 21, 2019 at 8:07 pm in reply to: cannot enter places – asks for one city only but does not even accept from there #504226You didn’t complete the setup of the new default location. You had Malaga > Malaga > Spain, but you left the lat and lon of Philadelphia.
I clicked the set address on map button to fetch the new lat and lon for Malaga and saved. Now it should work.
Thanks
August 21, 2019 at 3:39 pm in reply to: Searching functions are slow (changing post types and map display) #504181That’s what has the biggest impact on your loading time…
TTFB is extremely high. I would not expect to be able to improve it a lot without going with an appropriate hosting.
Thanks
August 19, 2019 at 10:57 pm in reply to: geodirectory.2.0.0.66.zip – it's missing style.css stylesheet #503812Hi and thanks for joining.
GeoDirectory is a plugin and cannot be installed as a theme.
Thank you
August 19, 2019 at 6:33 pm in reply to: Searching functions are slow (changing post types and map display) #503749You should also consider using a Hosting that is optimized for WordPress… Microsoft Azure is not.
Just my 2 cents.
Not being in the sitemap is not enough.
You need to noindex them or add the URLs to your robot.txt file.
You should be able to do either thing via Yoast plugin. Or you can follow this guide: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-optimize-your-wordpress-robots-txt-for-seo/
Where do you want to place that dropdown? If in the menu, you can use the Appearance > Menus UI.
If you want to add it elsewhere you can use the GD > Dashboard widget or shortcode or block. [gd_dashboard]
Thanks
If the plugin is hijacking any search query, it doesn’t matter where we return the results.
This to me sounds like a support request for the authors of Ajax Search Pro, but I flagged your question for Stiofan. Maybe he knows a workaround.
Hi,
to edit what’s in the form (the fields) you must go to Places > Settings > Custom Fields.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/places/custom/
Thanks
August 17, 2019 at 5:48 pm in reply to: GeoDirectory V1 -> V2: Migration created duplicate cities (URLs end with -1, -2) #503483If there is more than 1 city with the exact same name in the database, the number at the end is added by WordPress and it should have been there in v1 too. It’s impossible to have two identical slugs insinde the database.
Hi,
this is it:
[gd_map width=”100%” height=”425px” maptype=”ROADMAP” zoom=”0″ map_type=”post” post_settings=”1″ marker_cluster=”1″]
You can also add the id of a specific post if you are adding this outside the loop.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks
p.s. you can find all options using the shortcode builder quite easily
Cities, states and countries are automatically added to the system at the same time a listing is submitted or added in the backend.
and frontend too…
Hi,
you need to install WP Easy Updates first.
wp.org plugin rules don’t allow us to make the core plugin communicate with our server directly…
We are looking for an easier way to workaround this.
Thanks
