Hi,

if you add the Custom Post Type add-on, you can create a post type Restaurants and avoid using Places.

You can also rename Places to say restaurants.

The second thing is not possible, the URL will always have the CPT name before the listing title.

Hi,

that’s correct and you should set both.

If you set it as claimed, nobody will be able to claim it, make sure to change the author of that listing to be your friend.

To do so, you will need to change his role to author momentarily and select his username to be the new author of the listing (if the author option is not appearing at the bottom of the backend edit listing form, you need to enable it via “screen options” – top right of the screen).

After you assigned the listing to him, you can change his role back to subscriber.

In that case the expiry email will be sent to the listing owner (your friend).

Hi,

the force upgrade of the claim listing add-on only works when an existing listing is claimed, not when adding a new listing.

I’ll ask to the developer if they see an easy way to accomplish what you are looking for.

They’ll let us know asap.

Hi Alexi,

all your add-ons are at least 7 months old. That’s an eternity. We changed the licensing and auto update system since end of January. (you should never update the core plugin if you don’t update the add-ons too.)

Please download all the add-ons that you have installed from here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/members/alexi84/downloads/

Unzip them on your desktop and overwrite the old versions via FTP.

Alternatively you can upgrade them using a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades/

ONce that is done you will see the new Auto Updates / Licensing page and you can copy and activate the new licenses.
