that is a normal WordPress search widget. It will search everything and show results mixed (post, pages, listings) and it will use the theme tempalte for search, not the plugin template. There will be no search by distance and so on.

it is not in the roadmap for a reason, listings page should have 10 max 20 listings, it is useless to cluster them.

Address is a required field. You can ask to simply enter the city name again if they don’t want to specify their exact address, but it can’t be blank.

1) to change category you simply edit the listing and change the category.
If you want to change custom post type, you can only export, edit the post_type field and re-import. Or you must delete and re-enter it in the new post type. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export

Hi,
for GeoLocation to work you need to install the advance search add-on and enable it.
GeoLocation is not automatic. We use Google GeoLocation service and it requires a user to authorize sharing his location.
Otherwise users have to at least select their city via location switcher.

Given that your add-ons were at least 10 versions old, there could be some setting that is changed.
