#6 and #7, you can delete them only by editing a function in functions.php of the theme.
#8 correct, dummy data adds widget for GD that are already auto-added for supreme. You just need to remove all widgets from GD Listings Top section and GD Search Top section

it has always been like that:

You need to create folder languages in wp-content and a folder for each plugin inside that.
Examples:
Core plugin: /wp-content/languages/geodirectory/geodirectory-en_US.mo
Advanced search : /wp-content/languages/geodiradvancesearch/geodiradvancesearch-en_US.mo
and so on…
Otherwise when you update the plugin you lose your translation file.

I meant to do what we did with css for the other theme.
Try adding this in GD >> design >> scripts >> custom css:

the only product of our suite that includes something like that is Whoop, where the feature is included in the theme only (to mimic Yelp).
Should you wish to add something similar to another theme though, that would be considered a complex customization. The easiest way would be to take whoop and study how that was done and replicate it on another theme (or hire a dev to do it for you).
However we are talking about few days of work.
