The redirection settings will automatically set the location search to “Near me”.
You can add the “GD > Near Me Button” widget as an option. Thanks
That is not possible out of the box.
But you can change the settings on first entry to your site to redirect visitors to their nearest listings at GD > Advanced Search > REDIRECT SETTINGS ON FIRST TIME LOAD > Redirect to nearest location (on first time load users will be auto geolocated and redirected to nearest geolocation found)See https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/search-filters-overview/#redirect
Thanks
Welcome 🙂
Add the GD Login widget and review your settings at GD > Design > Navigation > USER DASHBOARD POST TYPE NAVIGATION SETTINGS
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/widgets/#loginbox
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#navigationThanks
Yes, Kiran means V2.
To remove the “Caravan Parks to visit” section, remove the Popular Categories widget from the GD Home Top section.
To change “Title”, review https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translate-core/
Thanks
Check the fields allowed for packages.
Are the discounts allowed for the package in question?1) The events are not showing
You are using /events/ for GD Events Manager and another Events plugin.
De-activate the other Events plugin, or
change the slug of Events at GD > Custom Post Types > Events2) Do you have an estimated date of launch for V2?
For use on live sites, it will be quite a few weeks away still.3) How do I get “Recent Posts” on my homepage to look like the “Featured Places” & “upcoming events” with the 4 thumbnails etc
Create a GD Custom Post Type to use for blog posts, then you can use the Popular Post widget there.4) im going to be creating weekly lists.
I suggest to create a temporary category. That way you can assign places to that category, add category specific text, and when no longer requires, you can delete the category.5) How would i be able to set this up with GD. Could this be done as an event category and attach a place to it?
Please review https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/linking-events-to-places/6) IMPORT: Im interested in setting up some businesses on an excel to import it to GD so i just downloaded the sample csv. Questions are as follows.
Do not use Excel, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#important– If I dont have the “post_latitude” and “post_longitude” will it find the address anyway?
No, you will need lat and lng. There are tools to find them: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#resources– For the image row it only has “img1.jpg” as an example. What would be the rest of the image source url?
That is all that is required. Once you import the listings, you need to upload the images.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#images– For the Events import. Where do we enter the info if the event is a recurrung event?
Export the CSV listings you have and you will see the extra columns for Events. Thanks
1. Is the listing created by a user not claimed by that user automatically?
That depends if the user has ticked the “Business owner/associate” box as YES or NO. YES results in a claimed listing, NO means unclaimed.2. We need the “Send Enquiry” form to send the copy of the enquiry to an admin’s email address. Is this possible?
GD > Notifications > Site BCC Options > Send enquiry >YES3. Your best option is to use the Pricing Manager to set different levels for your listings, and then sort them as explained here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/how-to-sort-listings-by-price/
Your site is a combination of HTTP and HTTPS, see WP Settings > General > WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL)
Please fix that first, this may assist:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/useful-plugins/#bsrThanks
All I did was add some CSS at GD > Design > Scripts.
Thanks
Good to hear it worked for you.
Since we never got to see which date related custom fields you used for Places, we were not able to suggest anything else than we did.
A normal Events CSV will also have a lot more columns, but if it works, it works.Images will need to be uploaded again. Other missing data might be because categories and custom fields in your Events setup are different than your Places setup. The Events CSV should show that.
I suggest you use the language file of GD core to change the message “No records found” on both the map and any other messages, and add a link in that message to the home page, saying see all listings here or something, or “reset to all locations” etc.
To add a “clear filter” add a link to the homepage and call it “Reset”
Thanks
You’re welcome 🙂
Please update WP and all your GD plugins first.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/installing-addons/#updatesListing Preview should not be used at GD > Permalinks > Location. You should use the location page there:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/#directoryAlso add widgets to the GD Home sections at Appearance.
Then we can check again.
Thanks
Yes, I can confirm I did not do anything, except logging in as admin, so I could see the Analytics.
I checked all your other related settings at GD > Design > Detail tab, and all is set correct. Thanks
If they could add listings without registering, they never can edit them or pay for them …
I suggest, you use this setting for now: UsersWP > Settings > Register > Registration Action > Auto approve + Auto Login
