Have a look at https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/hide-post-type-drop-in-search-bar/
Thanks
If you use the GD Home Map widget, then you should have a ribbon along the bottom with a link to each CPT that will switch the listings on the map.
Just like the demo where you can swap from Places to Properties on the map.But maybe you are asking about the pages for your different CPTs, in which case add the “GD > CPT Categories” widget somewhere and you will get the ready made links to the auto-generated pages:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/widgets/#cpt-catsThanks
This reply has been marked as private. Is that the only page you ever get that one?
That seems like it is added to the page template, but hard to tell without reviewing your site.
If we need to have a look, post your URL and WP Admin details in a private reply.
ThanksMy personal view is to only use CPTs if you have a special reason to separate them, for example different pricing structure or different data. For example, events will need dates, so you need a special CPT which is in our Events Manager.
The more general categories, the more likely a search will give results. The search searches tags, description, title and category, so a bed and breakfast will still be found in the accommodation category, if the listing has any reference to bed and breakfast anywhere in those main fields.
Basically, less categories is more results, which will be ordered based on the keywords searched by the visitor.
The number of listings your site can have is not dependent on GD, but your server capabilities.
Tens of thousands of listings is not a problem for GD, but you might have to look at a dedicated server to make the site run fast enough. Thanks
Searching results are always displayed using relevance according to the search criteria used.
So you can add the filters to the search function before the actual search takes place.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/gd-search/Listings (category) pages can be sorted, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/searching-and-browsing/
Use the location switcher to allow visitors to drill down to a location first:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/multilocations/#mainThat way they will end up on the location page, where you can then add links to all schools etc using widgets:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/#directoryThanks
PLease have a look at my test listing in draft, it still has 154 characters and displays 154 characters everywhere.
Are you coping and pasting from somewhere else maybe, not realising you are adding possibly “unseen” characters?https://bridespub.com/?post_type=gd_place&p=1824%2F&preview=true has 154 characters, wherever it is viewed.
To change the number of listings per category page, review https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/faqs/how-do-i-change-the-number-of-listings-per-page/
The listings are not displayed there using any widget but from the settings at GD > Design > Listings. Thanks
Not at this time, but with the new Invoicing plugin that should be possible.
The new Invoicing plugin will come with an updated Payment Manager plugin, and the plan is to do the first [non-beta] release before the end of the month.
ThanksJune 1, 2017 at 9:51 pm in reply to: Having a problem with category map & Default feature image.. #381208PLease post your WP admin details in a private reply, so we can check your settings. Thanks.
Here are the instructions for changing the Supreme homepage title:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/supreme-directory-overview/#homepageAnd like Kor says, review your settings at WP > Menus where you can choose what and how links are in the menu.
Thanks
I just submitted a test listing and was able to add 154 characters in the description without any problem…
Similarly with existing listings, I cannot re-create the issue on your site.
ThanksCreate a copy of your parent theme’s header.php file and add it to the files of the child theme.
Look for<a href='<?php echo esc_url( home_url( '/' ) ); ?>and change that to
<a href="http://mysite.com">The first bit may be a bit different depending on your theme.
Thanks
Hi Adele, I deactivated your non-compatible caching plugin, please check now.
See also https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/known-issues/#w3cacheThanks
The popular category shortcode or widget will only show popular categories.
If you want a map, you can use the home/location map shortcode:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-shortcodes/#locationmap
or the listings map shortcode:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-shortcodes/#listingYou only need the shortcodes if you do not use all GD generated pages, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/layout/#directory
Thanks
Try changing the title of your homepage at WP Pages. That should normally fix that but it depends on the theme you are using.
Thanks
