I’m sorry but it is not possible. You should hide the entire select field, so it would only work for the default Custom Post type. That would work if you are only using 2 custom post type, Places and Events.

to change any default text string of the plugin, you can use the translation file: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translate-core/

The procedure to translate or rephrase in english is identical.

To change the background of sidebar elements you can use:

.geodir-company_info .geodir_more_info {background-color: #ccc;}

This will change them all, or change each individually like this for example:

.geodir-company_info .geodir_twitter {background-color: #ccc;}

This will change only the twitter block.
