It will appear in Search variables only and in add listing page URL. If that bothers you leave it empty and create a new one.
Thanks
This is from last year https://moz.com/blog/15-seo-best-practices-for-structuring-urls
“#2 The more readable by human beings, the better” Which makes total sense.
Since then, I haven’t found any relevant news that would suggest this has changed.
I’m not sure how IDs instead of listing names would help with Search Engine Rankings, but I’m sure you have your good reasons to believe so.
Thanks
Hi,
you had illegal characters in line 35 and 81
35 __('Please enter a contact number. This won\'t be displayed on your listing', 'geodirectory'); 81 __('shop\'s crafters', 'geodirectory');Same error, the double .
I cleaned that and now it should work. Please avoid running GD tools randomly.
The map is not loading because most of your plugins are not up to date. You should start by updating the core plugin and then update all add-ons.
I also noticed that you bought a new subscription instead of renewing the old subscription. Now it will be easier to update all plugin via FTP, then update your new license keys in GeoDIrectory >> Auto Updates / licensing.
Let us know how you went,
Thanks
In that case 1 cpt and several parent/sub categories is what you need.
Thanks
Hi,
why did you run all the script on the GD Tools? That’s something you do only if something is not working and you are supposed to be running only what’s needed.
You ran “Load custom fields translation”, which is only needed if you want to translate your custom fields…
You probably had an illegal character in a custom field and that is now breaking te syntax of that file.
We will need FTP credentials to be able to fix this. I can’t seem to find them in the link provided.
Please ask to your hosting support to provide FTP credentials.
Thanks
Hi,
I’m sorry for the late repy, we had troubles with the server yesterday and missed many notifications. We are working hard now to recover.
I see your map loading fine now (see image attached). I guess you just need to clear your browser cache.
Let us know,
Thanks
Hi,
it really depends if you’ll use custom fields, if you want all categories to have different prices and if you want users to search for a DJ or Gardening without switching CPT.
Let us know,
Thanks
Hi,
I don’t think that is possible and to be honest, it wouldn’t really be a good idea…
Keyword stuffing in title could get you penalized in Google.
Thanks
Hi,

Hi,
with the custom post type add-on you can create a locationless Custom Post Type.
If you only use locationless custom post types, the map won’t appear anywhere.
We are not able yet to disable google maps API. We ahve been discussing the opportunty to make GD Map agnostic and work with any Maps provider such as Bing or OpenStreetMaps, but we never got the time to actually do any of that.
I’m sorry.
Thanks
Please add this to your custom css:
.widget.geodir_loginbox { overflow: visible; }Thanks
Hi,
this is considered a customization request, which goes beyond support.
Thanks
Hi,
sorry for the late reply, we had some problems with the server yesterday.
1 map auto zoom will zoom taking the markers on the map as reference, to include them all. That is autozoom.
2 popular post widget will show distance in the location/me page if listings are available.
to fix that css we would need to check your website. Please provide a link as images can’t be inspected.
Thanks
