Hi Kor, that is good to know.
One of my staff thought it wasn’t PHP7 ready.
Will it be OK on PHP7.3?
Also is there any upgrades to V1.6.38? or is that the last of the 1.6.x series.

    Hi Alex,

Thanks for that – it’s worked! I think the problem is that I wasn’t refreshing the page before reactivating. 🙂

Now to try to get it looking right in v2! :O

    Kind regards,
    Nathan

    Hi Kor,

Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately, it’s not a new domain. It’s not even a subdomain, either – just a subfolder in the live site: https://cambridgeweightplan.com.au/test

Hi Alex, thanks for the quick response. That was pretty much what I was anticipating; I will tell the client to sit pretty and address it again when V2 comes out and is nice and stable.

Thanks again for a great extension, and good luck with the upcoming launch of V2. Can’t wait to see it in action!

Ah, that’s perfect! Thanks so much, Guust.

And looking more closely at that field, now, it makes perfect sense that that is what I had to change. I was a little confused with all the talk of “Tokyo is 40 square miles”, so I wasn’t sure about changing it – but it works a treat, now.

Lastly – are you a fellow Aussie? No one else would say “Tassie” and “Lonnie”! 😀

    Hi Kor and Guust,

Great idea! That solved it – deactivating and reactivating has allowed me to upgrade without a problem.

However, one of the plugins – Custom Post Types – says that automatic upgrading is not available. What is your recommended method for getting this one upgraded? Do I need to uninstall and re-install? Will that lose my data?

Thanks so much for all your help so far.

    Kind regards,

Hi Alex, and thanks so much for your help. I decided to add some CURL calls to the “geodir_after_send_enquiry” hook in functions.php, and it’s worked like a charm!

Hi all, I’ve been trying to work out how best to integrate our client’s GeoDirectory with the Salesforce CRM mystem. We’ve been given a straight HTML form (with first name, last name, email, etc.), which will send all the relevant information to Sales Force, but I’m not quite sure how to fit it into the flow for when a user uses the “send enquiry” form.

The two ideas I have thought of are:

    – replacing the whole “enquire” form with an entirely-custom form (still in a modal box, though!)

    -OR-

    – creating an entirely-custom form, either redirected to (and submitted) when a user submits the standard “enquire” form, or including it invisibly in the modal box and submitting it along with the regular form via Javascript

I am more than happy to hear any other ideas as well, though, because I’m pretty stumped as to how best to do this! I’m moderately-skilled at PHP, HTML and CSS, but I’m not overly familiar with WordPress’ “functions.php” or how to hook in to various parts of GeoDirectory. I’ve managed to replace the URL in the “b_send_inquiry” link, but that just took me to a different page without a modal box.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

    Kind regards,

Wow Alex. That’s not the response I just spent $199 to get!?
This website’s directory is CORE to the website and has been running OK as far as we know up until recently (perhaps until a recent update?).
The search is KEY to the functionality that the site delivers.
Postal code search works fine for some postcodes but not for others. Why?
Can you explain to me why it is that “Postal codes can be tough” ?

I’m happy for you to provide me with a technical answer.

Also I don’t know what you mean by “Postcodes to do not receive “location” pages”.

The solution you are suggesting is to tell my client “sorry, postcode search doesn’t work properly any more so we have to remove that option”. That is not a message they want to hear, or I want to give.

My expectation is that GeoDirectory will work according to its specification, so that whether you search by suburb/location or postalcode, the directory will return any listing that falls within the requested radius.

I’d like a fix please. Please escalate this issue to the appropriate person.
