Please share a screenshot and link. The screenshot should point out where you want a line so we can understand better.
We do not provide customization services here in the forum but we will try to point you in the right direction. If it requires custom CSS because the theme options don’t cover that feature you can find an intro here about how to create it yourself:
GD > Output location, set to Detail Page Sidebar
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/getting-started/#sidebar-widgetsAre you using GDV2?
If not, please install the gdV1 version of the plugin. If we need to check the settings please share your login URL and WP Admin credentials
gd_loop_paging is only for paging for gd_loop.
Paging is not available yet for gd_listings but we are considering adding it.
For now we recommend you add a link to the appropriate archive page like “View All” -> /places/category/plumbers/
Is there something else we can help you with?
Continue the conversation here:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/buddypress-integration-failure/Please send a link to the page so we can check further on that.
If you haven’t already you should probably contact the them author for support with the issue.

Site default…where? On the backend?
Translations (frontend or backend) for addons/plugins must be loaded intentionally. See: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/translating-addons/
2. That looks like a conflict specific to your site. Please share WP Admin and FTP so we can check on the issue.
3a. CPT listing widget is now available for GDV2 since 20044
3b. I don’t understand the issue. All CPT links are available in the WP Menu settings.https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/navigation/#menus
The CPT+Location pages you will need to copy from the browser URL or use the GD > Locations widget
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/design-elements/#gd_locations
You could try Yoast breadcrumbs in the meantime.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/yoast/#breadcrumbs1. A map element set to 100% width will expand to fill whatever element contains it. Check the properties of that element or consult your theme author for advice about how to make it 100%
All of the items you mention are design elements in V2 available as shortcodes, widgets, or blocks. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/design-elements/
Am I missing something?
It sounds like there might be some theme documentation about layouts and sidebars that is worth a read.
Other things went away, life login box, featured posts, etc… Why ?
gd_listings can do featured listings, and gd_loop can also be sorted by featured. Is that the issue? The login is called “Dashboard” now. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/design-elements/#gd_dashboard
The design in showing things with a grey gradient expanding things in place is really bad, is there a way to have the normal design and options?
In GDV1 the description was limited. Now the Archive item can output the entire description and without breaks, so this read more link was devised to give the archive item a fluid ending to cover up the remainder of the text. You can use the css here to start styling it the way you like:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/faq/common-examples/#post_contentWhy show the image name under the images in a grey box and all the dots?
GDV1 did not support title and caption, gdv2 does. You can show it or hide it based on element options.
The slider has an option to show titles, so, you can turn that off:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/images/#slider-show-title
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/images/#metaWhy if someone see a listing, the main basic info is gone?
Sounds like you aren’t using GD > output location yet. Try adding it and Author Actions to your sidebar.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/getting-started/#sidebar-widgetsWith great power comes some configuration 🙂
We recommend you use widgets, if your builder supports them. They operate exactly the same as shortcodes, but, in a builder, they will put all their options right there in front of you.
1. That is a GDV1 shortcode. You will need to transition any custom shortcodes to GDV2 shortcodes.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/design-elements/2. GDV2 uses the sidebars of your theme, or you can create your own.
Read more about themes here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/themes/3. When you say ‘breaks the site’ can you be more specific?
Be sure you have installed the V2 version of the addon. If you would like us to take a look please make a private reply with both WP Admin credentials and site URL as well as FTP information. Thanks
