We are working on a tool for modifying the address display for a future version.
In the meantime you can customize it with this snippet here:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/change-address-format-2/#post-453834
1. gd_categories is designed to be responsive, but some improvements are needed to make it look better in tablet sizes, certainly. A task has been created to look into the issue and improve the display.
2. The instructions for conversion for the beta are available here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/installation/#convert
When the final v2 release is ready, there will also be an upgrade path with fewer steps.
This is a major version upgrade. We hope that the improvements in V2 make design faster and easier. In my experience so far this has been the case. Template projects for customizing the detail page that previously might have take a week now take only a day or two and are easier to maintain because they do not require code changes or php template modification.
When V2 is released then V1 will only receive security updates
Hello,
Guust is right, that isn’t an option for V1, and actually this feature has been removed from the plugin for V2. There are other plugins on WP that provide similar functions.
December 31, 2018 at 12:21 pm in reply to: location-switcher plugin – nothing was found at this location #460794That is a V1 shortcode, and has been dropped from V2.
In V2, WP and GD permalinks are together in
WordPress – Settings, Permalinks
I tried to take a look at your site but it is timing out. If we need to check the settings, write back and let us know when the site is back up again.
December 31, 2018 at 12:13 pm in reply to: Creating a volunteers or jobs offered section using Linking in V2 Beta? #460793We do not often recommend third party plugins. We provide Buddypress integration through an addon.
I do say we recommend UsersWP, though, because we make it and we support it.
UsersWP has ‘friends’ and other community features plus it is really designed to work alongside GD, whereas BP serves ‘many masters’.
Glad to hear it, let us know if the problem comes back
This reply has been marked as private.Hello,
RE: event date search, there was a leftover V1 field in the CPT Search settings.
We have fixed this on your site and will make the change in the converter so it doesn’t happen again.
Please check and let us know if you find any remaining issues with the date search.
Thanks for reporting
Depending on where you use the image, you can edit the appropriate template and choose the image size that should be used in the gd_post_image.
You can take a look at your WordPress media settings to see which sizes are configured on the site.
If you have BP installed you will need to change the slug of the search page to something besides ‘search’
Yes, this is the default expected behavior for GDV2, that tge default WP login is shown.
There are a couple options at least:
UsersWPCustom redirection for the login page
Great!
When you attempt the export and the re-import, what errors are you getting?
Show everywhere will show everywhere that the particular sidebar is shown.
Do you mean the Get Directions link in the screenshot below? That one works as far as I can tell. You should add the relevant predefined fields (website, twitter) to a cpt, then export.
It is, in my own opinion, easier to keep that info in a site, though, but as long as you keep all the address info GDV2 cana geolocate it later. -
