If you just cloned the site and database, all should be the same.
I gather you did not do it that way, and you are trying to do it bit by bit. That might be a bit more difficult, I’ll alert Paolo to this question too.
Any reason why you did not just clone the site and database as a whole?Sure, make sure your custom post type addon is enabled, create an online CPT only, and then go to GD > General > General tab > Select CPT to disable physical location
Hi Tony, if I understand you correctly, you can add a badge as a custom field.
You can create a custom field that only is available to some price packages, and/or that can only be edited by admins.
So you could just create a SELECT custom field that if ticked, it will show an image below or next to the listing’s photo.
You would just need to do some CSS to make that work. This post explains what I am talking about, but the images have been lost in a recent server crash, and I will need to get them up again.
I attached an image that shows an example using a custom field and some specific styling. The concept would be the same.
It looks like you are using list view in a sidebar widget. I suggest to change that to a 2 listing grid view, that should solve it.
October 22, 2015 at 10:04 pm in reply to: Converting dashboard dropdown menu's to buttons. Can it be done? #57796If you only want a link to add a listing in your dashboard, you can just remove the dashboard widget and style a link to your /add-listing page as a button, and put that in a text widget.
Changing the other links is a bit more difficult, because they are dynamically generated, and that would require some customization.Have a look now. I don’t think you saved it in the right MO file or you did not upload the MO file.
As soon I saved the PO file on my computer [without doing anything else], the MO file created was bigger than the one uploaded to your site.
I renamed your old MO file and uploaded the new one. Please check.
1. Just create your custom fields and then add one listing in the backend, fill in all the fields
Then go to GD > Export/import and export your places. You now will have a perfect CSV file you can add data in.2. Have a look here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#custom
Review the setting called “Show in More Info tab on detail page”You should find the right info here:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPressLet us know how you went.
Can you upload the PO file into public_html/wp-content/languages/geodirectory as well please.
I cannot figure it out, I’ll get Paolo to have a look for you.
October 22, 2015 at 3:02 am in reply to: Disbling and reanabling cause map not to show anymore #57733Thanks for letting us know. That is also typical when changing themes.
October 22, 2015 at 3:00 am in reply to: Places still showing up on Home page even though they are in trash #57732It doesn’t when I view your site; I cannot see it at all, even when scrolling through all the reviews. You might have to clear your caching (GD Booster) whenever you want to see changes you make in the backend.
October 21, 2015 at 9:56 pm in reply to: when user publish his listing it Redirect to homepage #57716You are not allowing submissions of the default Place CPT.
The correct URL for your add listing page is http://www.israel-guides.net/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_tour_guides and it all seems to work well. Can you check please.
The reason things work a bit better is probably because I set your permalinks correctly a while ago, before I escalated to Paolo.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#postnamesI have no problem adding any GD stuff to your normal WP pages, so not sure what you mean, I tried one at /?page_id=1850&preview=true.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#postnamesThe maps thing is because you do not have the Multilocation addon (Location Manager), so you can only add listings in your default location.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/addons/multilocation/If you want to add listings without a physical address, the custom post type addon allows you to create a post type where addresses are not required.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/addons/custom-post-types/Thanks for letting us know. That certainly will trip up the system.
Cheers 🙂 -
