You only want to disable the map, or addresses too?
GD > Design > Map tab > SHOW / HIDE POST TYPE AND CATEGORY ON MAP > Tick all categories.
To stop using addresses altogether: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-general/#physical
Thanks
1. Remove the GD Search widget from the GD Listings section. In Supreme, the listings pages have the top search built in.
2. If you remove the scroll bar, then your visitors can only see the first listings.
3. Try this CSS to change the widths:
.sd.archive.geodir-page #geodir_content { flex-basis: 80% !important; width: 80% !important; } .sd.archive.geodir-page .geodir-listings-sidebar-right { width: 20% !important; flex-basis: 20% !important; }Thanks
Try typing in a new name in the search box, see image.
But we suggest to use this setting: GD > Multilocations > Disable Google address autocomplete? > NO [un-tick]
Then you can just start typing an address, or drag the marker on the map to the correct spot.PS: for new sites, we recommend starting with the new V2 version, read more at

https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/installation/Thanks
Glad to hear it is sorted 🙂
January 1, 2019 at 9:58 pm in reply to: Sub Categories do not show up on the main map legend #460994You’re welcome 🙂
You can use this CSS to hide the looking glass:
.fa-search {display:none}And this CSS to hide the whole button:
.geodir_submit_search {display:none}See also https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/
V2 does not have geolocation and redirection yet.
Thanks
You’re welcome 🙂
On the “GD Archive Item” page, delete this shortcode:
[gd_post_meta key=’post_content’ show=’value-strip’]Does that answer all the questions, or is there anything left?
January 1, 2019 at 1:27 pm in reply to: Sub Categories do not show up on the main map legend #460927WordPress will only work correctly if a listing has a parent category, and/or a sub-category.
You can upload any icons you like when editing or creating a category, look for “Map Icon”.
The compass is only for V1, V2 does not use the compass, and I am guessing you are using V2.PS: please post in the correct V2 forum. Thanks
None of your listings has map coordinates.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#mandatory
You can get the latitude and longitudes here: https://www.geocod.io/ but there are others too:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#resourcesBecause you only just added GeoDirectory to your website, we recommend for new sites to use the next improved version V2.
The CSV import in V2 will calculate the map coordinates itself.
We also suggest to start with small batches to make sure all is working as expected. You can read more about V2 here:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/try-geodirectory-v2/
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/installation/Thanks
The simplest is to drag the marker to an approximate location on the map. Then change the Street Address field to anything you like. Do not click on “Set on map”.
Regions are always required.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/definitions/#locationAutocomplete works indeed best starting with street addresses, if starting with the cities, then Google probably does not know which city with that name you mean. There are usually plenty of cities with the same name.
Thanks
Editing works fine from the frontend.
You have a few plugins that modify the admin area, I suggest to de-activate all non-GD plugins and then see if that works or not. If editing does not work in the backend with only GD plugins, we will have a closer look.
If it does work with only GD plugins, then turn other plugins on one by one to find the one that breaks things.
You already have staging running, so you could try it there.
