Hello,
GDV2 settings are all in that single GeoDirectory->Settings menu
Widgets are present.
Let us know if you run into any more issues.July 25, 2019 at 9:31 pm in reply to: solution for taking payment first then completing listing #499674Listings are added on the ‘Add Listing page.
It would help if you could point out the “GEO directory login and registration process” that you are talking about. As Paolo mentioned, there isn’t one, just WordPress login and registration.
We don’t provide support for this method. To implement it you will need to choose 3rd party plugins or custom code, both of which fall outside of support.
If you need help or advice with it you can contact a GD Expert here:

This reply has been marked as private.I have made a note of default files for custom file fields. We may decide to add that in the future, but it would add some additional complexity to the GD Post Images feature which is already quite complex.
1. Any CPT can have the physical location disabled in the CPT settings under the general tab, advanced options.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/places/general/
2. You can remove the listings from the trash and all the categories, too, then it won’t show up anywhere on the frontend, but it cannot be deleted. In the Places CPT general options you can also disable it from frontend add.
3. UsersWP – https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/integrations/userswp/GD and UsersWP both don’t need the complexity of roles to give site visitior’s a great experience adding and managing listings or creating an account to track favorites, events, lists, and reviews.
July 25, 2019 at 8:16 pm in reply to: If this is a global directory whey a default location? #499658I think I am missing something. It sounds like you might want to simply hide the ‘search near’ field, then, and add something like a category dropdown to the search bar to search by specialty.
About the dropdown, the near search field will offer some autocomplete options but does not have a drowndown of the locations that are in the database.
When listings are added, the database of locations grow. Is there a listing in a city where that city is not in the location settings?
GD – Settings – Locations (tab) – Cities
If we need to check your settings please include WP Admin credentials in a private reply.
To add a select field to the search bar see these instructions. You can do this with a custom field or with categories.
The page for the UsersWP profile should have a unique slug, could be /profile/ which is the default or another.
If we need to check the settings, please share WP Admin credentials in a private reply.
Hello,
What is possible is that any custom image field displayed with GD Post Images will access the fallback images.
There is only one set of fallback images, and individual custom image fields can’t take default images (in field settings) apart from the fallback images at this time.
In the GD Social Importer settings there is an option for FB “Enable Direct URL Parse”
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/addons/social-importer/
The first link works on my site but seems to time out on yours with no effect.
Please include WP Admin so can check the settings.
July 25, 2019 at 6:14 pm in reply to: Remove Slideshow From Listings Page for a Certain Type of Image #499627If you want the GD Post Images to disappear if there are no images, then you should remove all the fallback images from the system and it will do that automatically.

Location pages are created automatically.
You can find the URL permalink patterns for all GD templates here:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/settings/permalinks/
The GD Locations element will give you links to city pages.
We also provide the location switcher element that will send a user directly to the location page of their choice.
However, getting a list of all cities in a region is not possible so would either be a customization or need to be created as a list of links manually.
You can use the shortcode builder to create it.
I recommend you try several different versions to see what they do.
You can use one type on the Location page and another type on the archive page template.
